I can’t thank Zachos Construction Ltd enough for their outstanding service! I needed last-minute snow removal for my parents’ house after major snow storm on Family Day long weekend, and they came through when no one else could. Despite the short notice, they responded quickly, arrived on time, and did an incredibly thorough job clearing and salting the driveway and walkway. We were looking for a provider to make and install oak treads on our stairs. Jose from VDR worked with us to fully understand our needs. During our visit I mentioned that we were replacing about 900 sq ft of carpeted floors on our second level with hardwood and he mentioned that VDR also did hardwood floor installation. We hired VDR for both jobs. Their pricing was fair and competitive and and we were provided with a detailed statement work. Hardwood installation was completed in 2 days and completed about a week after agreeing to work with VDR. The stairs included new oak treads and risers. In total, the work took 4 days - the first day to remove the carpet, tackboard and staples and to measure the existing treads (the treads are not all the same size and some are angled) and then 3 days to install the new treads once they'd been manufactured and stained. We are very happy with the end result.

They provided quick and professional responses and service. It took three days to paint a one bedroom apartment(has furniture, not including any trims, doors and ceilings. Bathroom also not included), but the actual working time each day was less than 3 hours. It is way expensive than self painting but were beginners and it saves time. We just got some new windows put in our house in Kanata by Buildmart Windows and Doors. We ended up with three new windows a fixed one and two casement ones. They're all triple glazed and boy, do they make a difference! The crew that did the job was awesome and they showed us how our old windows wer. This was a total surprise to us, given that the house was built in 2017, but it turns out, it's a common occurrence? We used to get condensation on them every winter, but that's history nowThe kids' rooms aren't nearly as hot in the summer anymore. We can actually take the air conditioning down a notch or two, which is a godsend. We're really liking our new windows from Buildmart. The quality is top-notch, the guys who installed them really knew their stuff, and they didn't miss a thing. If you're thinking about getting new windows, I'd definitely give Buildmart a look. Our vision was for an open plan main floor for our 100yr old urban semi, custom kitchen, and a fireplace! We interviewed 4 contractors and were most impressed with Home Gurus. We recently used Master Homes Contracting to renovate two bathrooms. Anton came to the house to discuss the project and offer some advice as to the design aspect of what we were doing. We found him very knowledgeable, he made recommendations as to the layout and gave us a clear idea of what the project would look like when completed. We received a detailed quotation within a few days, numerous options with pricing. With some conversation we were comfortable with the quotation and agreed to move ahead. We were then introduced to Ashley who would be our design contact throughout the project. We had done the usual visits to the home stores and to be honest were a little overwhelmed, we really needed some direction and advice. Ashley made it so easy, she supplied numerous choices, with pricing, for each of the components from tile to taps, and really helped us with every selection, for us, that expertise saved weeks of wandering the aisles trying to figure out what we wanted. Once decided, Ashley ordered everything for us and had it delivered to our house. The crew showed up to start the demo on the agreed date, immediately covered my hardwood hall and stairs to avoid any damage as they removed the debris, they were careful to try to limit the dust as much as possible but by nature its a dusty job. Execution was flawless, we did have to make some decisions as to the waterproofing behind the new shower, Anton gave us three options with and actually recommended the LEAST expensive one for what we needed. We had a vacation planned that happened to fall in the middle of the project. We were so comfortable with Anton and his crew, we gave him a key, they continued working while we were away. The project was completed just as we got back, we were so pleased with the results. Both bathrooms look amazing, certainly exceeding our expectations, they even added undercabinet LED accent lighting, not included in the original quote but they thought we would like it. They were right, it added a whole spa like look to the bathroom. The project was completed a few weeks ago but I held off on my review as I knew there would be some minor call backs, there always are with any reno. The true test of a contractor is how well they handle the call backs. A flickering pot light, a sticky drawer on the vanity, they were there next day, resolved without question, we were very impressed. We did add some extras to the project as it progressed but overall they were on budget per their original quote. As a contractor Master Homes ticked all the boxes. On time, on quote, knew what they were doing, all the assistance we needed, daily updates on the project, immediate attention to the callbacks, and probably the most important factor, Trust. We will use them again for our next project without any hesitation, there are so many horror stories out there it was a pleasure and a relief to find a good honest contractor that goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the results. Al and his team did an amazing job turning our vision for a full, modern bathroom renovation into reality. He was polite and professional, was flexible with scheduling when we ended up having a long wait for shipping of our tiles, installed all the materials and fixtures that we picked and quickly corrected a small misunderstanding along the way, and creatively handled all the little unexpected surprises and quirks that you would expect in an old building.
