If one has a color on walls not available because originally a valspar color from Lowes what does one do or what options is there?

Color match is the way to go, the only situation here is that the color and sheen finish is never 100% the same is about 95%.
Saying this, paint the whole surface is a must if looking for an invisible patch up.

Take a chip of the paint, take it to paint store of your choice and color match away. Always works!

Take a chip from the wall and get it paint matched. Benjamin Moore & Home Depot paint match samples. I would also look to match the sheen of paint. Most walls are eggshell or a matte finish.

We should Take a paint sample to a paint store (such as Sherwin-Williams or Benjamin Moore). They can color match it using a scanner and create the same shade in another brand.
