I hired Marko to replace the laminate flooring in my condo with vinyl flooring. The work done by his team was good — the installation was neat and completed on time. Based on that, I was initially satisfied and would have rated the experience highly. However, on the day the work was completed, I noticed a dent in the middle of the new floor. I contacted Marko right away, and he responded, saying he would fix it after his two-week vacation. Up until then, our communication had been smooth, so I agreed to wait. Unfortunately, he didn’t follow up after the two weeks. I reached out again and was told that he had started a new project and would contact me later to schedule the repair. I needed to remove and replace my basement flooring. My neighbour had work done by Ecolux Contracting and highly recommended them and as I had seen them around the neighbourhood doing work at various homes, I called them to take a look at the work I needed to be done and provide a quote. Jiyan of Ecolux Contracting assessed the work, provided suggestions and gave me a very reasonable quote and provided a timeline. Jiyan and his team started the job on time, moved the furniture, removed the old flooring and took care of the disposal. Together we chose the flooring, ordered it, and as soon as it arrived, it was installed. I am very pleased with the installation of the new flooring and baseboards. The workers were very experienced. They were true professionals. Adam painted my bedroom and bathroom, re-caulked my bathroom and did some general handyman work around my condo (including building my bed and dressers!). He was efficient and did an excellent job- I really appreciated his attention to detail and his desire to ensure the work was done exactly as I wanted it! The worst experience ever. If I could put no stars, I would. I hired these contractors to remove the popcorn ceiling and drywall and paint the ceiling. There were cracks everywhere due to not having a proper foundation and sanding. The initial day he had asked me to come at 6pm and directed me to stay outside until he was complete which I then waited for 1 hour and 30 minutes outside with the child. The second day he sent me pictures and demanded that I pay it was when I asked him to review the work together. He then refused to fix the work as he was heading to another job while the job wasn't done. That’s when the problems occurred it was horrible! Police had to be called to the scene because they insisted on not leaving the site until money was paid in full. I asked for money back and he refused. After arriving on site it was brought to my attention that he is previously known to police. His work doesn’t reflect reality. DO NOT hire this “contractor” I repeat DO NOT HIRE IT'S A SCAM

I found Joshua through HomeStars. From the first interaction when he came to see the the property to seeing the project to completion, Josh was an effective communicator, efficient and timely. He fought with my insurance to get a higher amount to meet the demands of the repairs from a basement flood. He was very professional in all the communications and easy to discuss the projects and timelines. The basement repair (~800 sq feet) was completed in 1.5 weeks! Would be delighted to have Josh come back for more home projects.

We decided to make renovation on our both bathrooms with TBC because they came highly recommended to us by a friends who used them in the past and we were not mistaken in our choice. We could choose everything we need in TBC showroom Alina (company owner) provided professional advice in product selection and the work plan.The installer crew were very pleasant They showed up on the time every day and did fabulous job and cleanup at the end of each day.The both bathroom renovations were completed on time and on budget, and we absolutely love them.
