We recently used Master Homes Contracting to renovate two bathrooms. Anton came to the house to discuss the project and offer some advice as to the design aspect of what we were doing. We found him very knowledgeable, he made recommendations as to the layout and gave us a clear idea of what the project would look like when completed. We received a detailed quotation within a few days, numerous options with pricing. With some conversation we were comfortable with the quotation and agreed to move ahead. We were then introduced to Ashley who would be our design contact throughout the project. We had done the usual visits to the home stores and to be honest were a little overwhelmed, we really needed some direction and advice. Ashley made it so easy, she supplied numerous choices, with pricing, for each of the components from tile to taps, and really helped us with every selection, for us, that expertise saved weeks of wandering the aisles trying to figure out what we wanted. Once decided, Ashley ordered everything for us and had it delivered to our house. The crew showed up to start the demo on the agreed date, immediately covered my hardwood hall and stairs to avoid any damage as they removed the debris, they were careful to try to limit the dust as much as possible but by nature its a dusty job. Execution was flawless, we did have to make some decisions as to the waterproofing behind the new shower, Anton gave us three options with and actually recommended the LEAST expensive one for what we needed. We had a vacation planned that happened to fall in the middle of the project. We were so comfortable with Anton and his crew, we gave him a key, they continued working while we were away. The project was completed just as we got back, we were so pleased with the results. Both bathrooms look amazing, certainly exceeding our expectations, they even added undercabinet LED accent lighting, not included in the original quote but they thought we would like it. They were right, it added a whole spa like look to the bathroom. The project was completed a few weeks ago but I held off on my review as I knew there would be some minor call backs, there always are with any reno. The true test of a contractor is how well they handle the call backs. A flickering pot light, a sticky drawer on the vanity, they were there next day, resolved without question, we were very impressed. We did add some extras to the project as it progressed but overall they were on budget per their original quote. As a contractor Master Homes ticked all the boxes. On time, on quote, knew what they were doing, all the assistance we needed, daily updates on the project, immediate attention to the callbacks, and probably the most important factor, Trust. We will use them again for our next project without any hesitation, there are so many horror stories out there it was a pleasure and a relief to find a good honest contractor that goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the results. We hired ProfLine to redo a basement bathroom and add a shower to it, plus put in an egress window. Because this is a basement bathroom with no window, they made sure I was aware of what needed to be behind the finishes...before giving me a quote. They were more motivated to make sure I was educated before signing with anyone. I really appreciated that, and that's what decided me to go with Profline. Design: It was an odd space, and they very cleverly got a 5' x4' shower with lots of space in there. Amazing. Pricing: I got 5 quotes, they were 3rd in terms of cost. Responsiveness: A+. They responded to my 1:30AM text in 5 minutes...and always responded. I never once had to chase. Timing: They scoped 3 weeks. It took 3 weeks. They would have been done sooner if it wasn't for the window sub-contractor. Trust: This was a remote job; I live in a different city. They sent pictures after each stage, showing that things were done right - even behind the walls. Great job!

Our project was the installation of kitchen tiles starting from the subfloor. Jason explained the steps required to perform the work and provided us with a reasonable quote. He was genuine which gave me the confidence to choose him for our project. When it came to laying the tiles, Jason mapped out all the tiles first to make sure that the focal point of the room was the important part and figured out the tiles from there to the wall (as opposed to just starting from the wall regardless of focal point and how the tile “seams” appear at this focal point). Ultimately, the finished tile floor looks great. We are very happy with the work he did. Thank you Jason.

We knew Hernani and his dad for a while and had been looking at getting a driveway built by them. We had seen their work on their own driveway and it looked great. Based on that trust, we decided to get our own built by then. Its a very big 3 car driveway. The job started off in a timely manner, however the finishing is not what we expected. Our driveway had depressions where water started accumulating. There were also lots of holes where water started filling up. They made attempts to rectify the work, buts its not fixable. We later found out they had contracted out the entire driveway to another company while we were under the impression we were hiring them to do it. We just looked at the driveway midwinter and it looks like this driveway wont last for more than 2 seasons, we feel completely ripped off. Unfortunately I would not recommend them for driveway projects. At the end, we feel like we paid for low quality work whereas multiple neighbors in our area for beautiful driveways built for way less.

We recently had both our bathrooms fully renovated by Greg and Dan, and they were absolutely amazing to work with! Greg provided a very detailed quote upfront and was incredibly flexible in accommodating any changes along the way. He stuck to the timelines he gave us, and his recommendations on materials and where to purchase them were spot on. The quality of their work was exceptional — everything was done with great care and attention to detail, with no shortcuts taken. Even though our bathroom is technically still the same size as before, it feels much bigger and better - thanks to ideas from Greg. Dan went the extra mile every day to make sure our home was left clean, which made a big difference since we were living in the house during the renovations. Thanks to how professional and easy they were to work with, the whole process was smooth and completely stress-free. Hugo Velez is a consummate professional. He's personable, listens well, and is willing to give his opinion when asked. I hired him to paint several rooms of my house, and he did an excellent job. He also repainted my porch, and then offered to paint it again with his own paint supply because he felt a darker colour would look better (he was right). He also replaced my kitchen floor and the tiles look amazing. Unlike other contractors, Hugo doesn't consider himself finished until you are completely satisfied. He won't disappear when the job is "done," leaving you with incomplete work. He's fast and efficient, and considers returning to fix the touch up spots part of the job. My house looks beautiful now and I couldn't be happier. I would definitely hire Velez General Reno again.

Had an emergency when the water shut off wouldn't move for a new sink installation. Thought we would be a week without water but John at Tru-View made room for us that evening and fixed a broken copper pipe, replaced the shutoff valve, installed the sink, redid the drains and installed the new faucet for a totally reasonable price. So happy we called him, he is our new go-to for sure.
