It is truly a pleasure to write a review for Nathanael and his team! We are one of many families on our street that have trusted our homes to Nathanael. Our project involved stripping our 2-room attic space down to the studs to build a dormer extension with a bathroom, and redo a bedroom, optimizing every inch of space. In executing the work, Nathanael and his team took the time to reinforce studs, beams and joists, taking the time and effort to attend to the subfloor to prevent creaky floors. From structural work, to HVAC/insulation, to the last finishes, no short cuts were ever taken - we truly felt Nathanael and his team cared about the project as though it was their own house. We quickly came to trust Nathanael's judgment and suggestions. No challenge was seen as a problem. Nathanael was always ready with a pragmatic, professional solution at hand that enhanced the design of the project. His highly skilled and talented team were conscientious and meticulous in their work putting long hours and working weekends to get the job done. Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, Nathanael kept to his word of delivering within the 12-13week time frame, always being transparent with additional costs for any scope add-ons we agreed upon. With no knowledge or experience whatsoever we decided to demolish and rebuild our house. Being completely clueless meant we had to ask dozens of very basic questions at every stage of the process. It also meant that once committed, we had no choice but to have faith in John and Renocorp. 2 years later and I can say without reservation that every single time we gave John the benefit of the doubt, it worked out in our favour. Every. Single. Time. This project started in the immediate aftermath of COVID. There were initial shortages of everything, including labour. Problems with suppliers, drama with subcontractors, complications with existing infrastructure? We were insulated from ALL of it. The only problems our job encountered were relayed to us as humorous anecdotes from inside our perfectly finished house. Wed hire John again, wouldnt bother with a second estimate, and if he were too busy? Wed put the project on hold and wait for him.

We worked with Shoaib and Kash (mainly Shoaib as the Project Manager for the day-to-day work). Shoaib and his tradesmen are skillful, kind, and time efficient. Shoaib is very communicative and has a good eye for design. He was quick to respond while both completing the basement and for warranty issues after it was done. We have shown our basement to neighbours, friends, and family and all have been impressed with their work. If I need further work done on my home in the future I will be calling Eminent Developments.

It took a while to have the contractor show up to complete a two car garage and one half of my roof. They had to return several times over a longer period as it became clear this was a side gig. They used my waste bin to finish though the estimate included disposal, and complained to me about not making money against the Meinhaus estimate. The roof leaked over the winter, and nobody ever arrived despite several calls to Meinhaus. Only excuses. Gave up and hired someone else to complete repairs. It ended up being a separate issue, but one that should have been flagged by the installers at the time. One star since the job was initially completed before winter and looked ok, and the materials used were fine. I wouldn’t use Meinhaus again and am generally unhappy with the changes to the home stars platform as it used to be easier to proactively reach out to highly rated vendors and that doesn’t seem to be possible and it is too complex to even locate highly rated providers in my area.

Removed tiles from my entrance hallway and bathroom and installed new tiling that I had purchased. Jason is a very pleasant man, easy to talk to and deal with. Takes the time to explain what he is doing and how the work is progressing. He is a 1 person operation, very hard working, and able to handle a variety of jobs needed to complete the installation. He promptly removed all debris and cleaned up after. My new tile floor is complete and looks great. The biggest recommendation I can give is that I plan to use Jason again next year for my next project and have already recommended him to other family members for when they might need some work done.

We had a great experience working with Sky Kitchen. Our designer Mohammed was extremely knowledgeable, professional, and patient as we designed our custom kitchen. The showroom has a wide range of samples of cabinets, hardware, and countertops. The staff communicated well through phone and email and made scheduling and payments easy. The installation was done quickly with no mess left behind and we are very happy with the end product. For the prices and service, Sky Kitchen cannot be beat!
