We own a one hundred year old semi detached home in East York. The house had been renovated several times in the past, but was in desperate need of a complete redesign. We completely gutted the entire interior, opened up the main floor and reconfigured the basement and second floor. We added a bedroom over the kitchen at the back, and converted the mud room on the front back to a porch. We also added new roofs, siding and trim. We were immediately impressed by Simon and his team. Their ability to effectively cost out our project, provide detailed budgets and help us negotiate this huge project cannot be understated. They were excellent at communicating and liaised with our architect and our engineer seamlessly. Simon walked us through the permit process, and was available to help troubleshoot obstacles. He and his team were always willing give my wife and I sage advice on design or layout details when asked. They have also renovated my neighbour's house and are in talks to renovate the house of a close friend. Hire them.

Paul was very knowledgeable and did a thorough job with my insulation and he immediately sourced the area in my basement that was letting in moisture. Bear in mind that I needed to order my own supplies(which was no big deal) but I was also responsible for carting away construction debris myself and I had to return large supplies with my little hatchback. This is why I only gave 4 stars

The Dow Brothers Painting just finished doing some work in our home that we were unable to do ourselves, including a two story stairwell and kitchen cabinet refinish. We were impressed from the start. They are meticulous. They take phenomenal care when masking, even creating plastic rooms to isolate the worst of the dust. We are thrilled with their work. Nobody else we asked said they would even try to match the stain on our cabinets. We were told over and over that painting them was our only option. Jeremy Dow is a real artist, refinishing our cabinets and making them look like a brand new. I would not hesitate to welcome them back whenever I needed painting work done.
