We had a water leak in our basement and the original eaves were leaking at the seam and backing up into our basement. David came out next day for an assessment and advised not a repair but replacement. A quote was done by the next day and we were also advised he had close colour match that could save us $600! Signed up right away and the job installed professionally and carefully by the team of installers. We are moving soon and would definitely go with them for our next project!

Jack & Sandstorm to the rescue. I needed the installation of 2 handrails to existing posts on the front porch railing, a small project. Most companies have a minimum charge regardless of the project size. Business is business. The lowest minimum I came across was $1200. Jack came to the house & agreed to make an exception to the minimum charge. The new handrails match the existing railing style &perfectly meet the need. Great job! Thanks again Jack.

House renovation- 15 Apr 2025
We hired Urban Studio Design to manage a complete gut-job, converting a Midtown multiplex into a semi-detached home. This was our 4th major reno & the 3rd contractor we've used. Here is why we won't go anywhere else from now on: - The SOW was competitive in price AND included fixtures and materials (tile, vanities, faucets, flooring, etc...). - The project was on-budget and finished slightly ahead of schedule. - The quality work is exceptional, and was even assessed by our trade-trained family (plumbers & electricians). - The work was guaranteed against extra costs from unexpected issues often associated with updating 100 year old homes. Don't get me wrong, we had lots of unexpected challenges, but Joseph and his team always presented feasible work arounds. We are recommending this company with the highest degree of confidence.

We worked with Mark to re-finish our basement after we had a small flood. This was our first big renovation in our home and needless to say we learned a lot about the process from Mark! The basement was old, and needed a full gut down to the studs which included a full bath renovation, some laundry room work and the main area (insulation, new lighting, new flooring, additional support post installation for future upstairs wall removal, some HVAC). We also had Mark update a powder room on the main floor. From start to finish Mark helped us understand what was happening and made sure we were made aware of things they found when walls were opened up and plumbing and electrical was exposed. All of the sub-contractors were great and showed up on time and when we expected them per Mark, and Mark was very responsive if we contacted him with questions and really went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the result. The work area was always kept exceptionally clean and was tidied at the end of each work day, which we really appreciated because we were still using the basement for laundry. Overall we have been thrilled with the end result and will be using Mark again to complete our main floor renovation next.

Robert the owner of Gazeebro was wonderful. He was the first contractor to reply to my posting in HomeStars although I didn't respond immediately because I wanted to review a number of the responses. When we discussed the project he was very professional and answered all my questions clearly, gave me his fee and the length of time to do the work. He also communicated very well prior to starting the work by keeping me informed of when he would arrive by texts.He arrived on time on the set date and began the work finishing within the time he estimated. Throughout the project he checked with me often to make certain I was happy with the work. When I brought anything to his attention that I wanted changed like the positioning of the bar he adjusted it immediately to my satisfaction. Upon completion he cleaned up the site.Robert is very personal and focused on doing the best job he can for his client.He is certainly one of the best contractors I have ever hired.

Roz at Creative Designs was great to deal with. She was responsive and professional. I had four old and damaged pieces of furniture needing re-upholstering and, she was able to make all the necessary arrangements including fabric samples and coordinating with the upholsterer. The works was done efficiently (needed it all done quickly and in time for Christmas). Creative Designs more than met my expectations. I would highly recommend this service. The re-upholstered furniture looks fantastic! Thank you!

When dealing with contractors, how often do you hear that they came in on time and on budget and did exactly what they promised. That was our experience with Paul and Jordan, two guys that honestly cared for our project as if it was their own home. They were here everyday, some days putting in pretty long hours. They were pleasant to deal with and addressed any concerns we had. The materials they used were high quality. Were still in awe with the final product. I honestly dont have a bad thing to say about Clarity Kitchens. It was probably the smoothest renovation well ever have. We highly recommend Paul and Jordan for your next Kitchen Renovation.
