The experience we had was absolutely terrible! We DO NOT recommend this company. We've spent over $50,000 and still have an incomplete kitchen. We told Dan at Caledon Renovations, from the very beginning, that we needed the renovation completed as quickly as possible to sell and relocate for work. Dan told us that he could complete the work in 4 weeks. On June 3rd, 2024, demolition began on our whole main floor. Once demolition was complete, no one showed up for 2 weeks. We were constantly told there were issues sourcing product, finally, when he showed up with the floor tile, it was not what we had picked but decided to continue anyway to speed up the renovation. It is now August 7th and it still not done. There were several quality issues that were addressed several times and Dan offered to come back to fix these issues for a 3rd time - we declined. The final straw was when we had a subcontractor show up at our house demanding money or he would place a lean on our house. After speaking to this gentleman, we found out that Dan had not paid him and said it was because we owed money - we were paid up to date. When we told Dan we do not want to work with him because of the trouble he has caused, he offered a refund of $1200 for upper kitchen cabinet doors. Even though we were not satisfied with the refund amount, we agreed. We told him to pick up his sign from our home and give us the refund. That was 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from him. I came across Falco designs in 2020 for some landscaping work needed in the backyard. Old cabana needed to be torn down and replaced with modern Gazebo. Turned out the existing cement slab needed to be replaced. This was out of scope from the initial quote. Paul offered to quote for the removal and replacement of the slab … A job that would easily add 4 days of work at a time where finding a team to get this done would have been next to impossible. The end result made our yard the envy of our friends and family. The sweat equity required ( half day of jack hammering the existing slab / ordering a cement truck for a half day and endless wheelbarrowing to and from the backyard ) was astonishing. Grit and heart has no price. Both Paul and his team delivered in a manner that exceeded all of my expectations. At a price was beyond fair. I had a leak in condenser coil of the AC and they were able to help replace it with a brand new coil. They did not do any upselling for replacing AC or anything. They arrived on time in the morning, cleaned up the area of work, laid down protective sheet on the floor and got to doing the fix. They did very professional work with the coil replacement, filled up the gas and cleaned the full area. I also asked them to clean and service the outside unit which they happily agreed despite adding time to their work. They did a great work overall and now my AC is working optimally. Very cool guys, keeping us cool in this heat. The furnace stopped working and once I asked for service on Homestars, I received a message and a call within the hour. The person on the phone helped me troubleshoot the situation (a loose wire on the board) and we were able to fix the issue without a service tech even having to come over.
