Wonderful experience and job well done. Special thanks to Michael for heading the crew and getting the work done ahead of time. The backyard grading along the property line between my neighbour and myself happens to be quite contentious. It has been mediated by the Richmond Hill Grading Department (RHGD) who have been quite understanding and reasonable in their handling of the situation. When the request came from the RHGD on what was needed on my side, a call was put in to Greenlane Landscaping to estimate the job and provide details on when it could be done. They, in fact, were the only landscaping company that answered my call. Michael, their landscape architect, came by and scoped out the job. It was done in a professional and congenial manner. The terms were agreed fairly shortly after that (regrade of the the area and resod as needed) and the date was set. There was a wrinkle in that the job date had to be pushed forward to meet the needs of RHGD and that was accommodated by Greenlane. When the date came, Greenlane sent a professional crew supervised by Michael, and they did a highly professional job. The crew was congenial and and empathetic in their relations. The job was completed to a first rate standard. the sod and soil provided were excellent and the instructions provide to keep the sod growing were easy to follow. In fact, the sod is the best grass I have in my backyard. There have been no issues with RHGD regarding the work done so far on my side of the property line. This is my last conversation with Deluxe Alarms. Sent May 16th. I still have yet to receive any response. What a shame... Hello Sudi and Deluxe Alarms customer support services, The reason for my writing today is to basically voice my dismay at Deluxe Alarms attempt to basically hold us hostage with the dated system that YOUR company installed. Now considering this equipment is dated, and you dont support it any longer, the signal is intermittently being monitored according to one of your reps and Im just learning that this has been going on for a long time since over a year ago when the amber triangle has come on. Our keypad beeps twice every 10 seconds or so until we enter our code and then it stops beeping until the next time it starts up again. WE are now FORCED to make one of three choices. Considering we have been with your company for I believe 8 years now, I guess customer loyalty really doesnt count for much these days with Deluxe Alarms. The three choices are basically, either we pay fully for the upgrade in equipment and remain on our month to month or sign back up for a three year term again and youll install the equipment for free, or we terminate our contract. Again, basically its a pretty awful position youre putting us in considering YOU INSTALLED equipment that YOUR COMPANY no longer supports and should have made us aware upon original installation that the equipment would not be supported down the road. The options left to us are unfortunate considering we are now looking to cancel our month to month contract with you. Sudi, you mentioned to me on the phone that youll have a manager contact me. Last time I was told a manager would contact us, we waited literally for over a year and even then no one called. Im assuming this wont get anywhere at this point. I have already contacted the Consumer Protection Agency as well as our friends at Global News Consumer Matters just to vent. I guess please take heed that this is our one month notice for termination of account. We have tested response from setting off the alarms randomly for over 3 minutes each time over a one year period and received no calls from the monitoring station. Update: Found another issue with the AC that I'm hoping the company will resolve. Called the company and promised to send someone to look at it. Until then, I no longer feel confident I made the right choice. The interaction with the sales agent went well, decided to get their service the same day. Installer came on the promised day. The installation took 10+hours. Then we found out the humidifier was not wired back properly. The technician came back after 5 days to fix the humidifier connection. The issue we had here is the technician's non-familiarity with the advance thermostat. So if you're getting this company make sure you ask for someone who has experienced working with a Nest or Ecobee. They do eventually fixed the issue but it takes time. And I can also say, the technician is also nice and respectful, they just probably need more training on newer technology. Also I think the AC was not sized correctly for my house. I had an emergency situation where my GFCI outlets went dead after my contractor (not an electrican) attempted to add another one on the same line. Obv he connected the wrong wires which faulted all the other outlets on that line and stopped my water pumps from running--meaning I could not use any plumbing (washrooms, etc). Farhang came quickly, assessed the situation, found the problem and fixed everything in under 1 hour.
