I highly recommend Handyman Kwik Solutions (Sam and his team) after they just finished three separate jobs: 1) for a backyard studio-shed I had built several years ago, fixing some poor framing from the previous contractor, insulating, and drywalling; 2) working with an electrician to excavate a trench (including through concrete) from house to shed for an 100 amp electrical pipe; and 3) adding flashing on all sides of the studio-shed. All work was done to a very high, fully professional standard. Everything was done as discussed -- with added touches that Sam's conscientious professionalism told him needed to be done for him to feel satisfied with the work (notably partially rebuilding one storage loft area and the very finicky, expert drywalling of it and another storage loft). As a bonus, the time between quoting and doing the work was very quick -- Sam fit our fairly small job (about a week of work) before another major job was due to start. My mother's stove gas line was disconnected somehow, and carbon dioxide alarm chimed away. Enbridge came and did an assessment, and told us that there was a gas leak. This was very concerning, we had have a certified gas technician come and fix the gas line to the gas stove. Hossein contacted me immediately after posting the job on Homestar, he arrived first thing in the morning to correct the situation. There were some challenges to make the connections, because the line was in the ground, and required breaking the tiles. The work took 2 hours in total, he clean up and asked if we had any further questions. I had a yellow stain appear on my ceiling on the second floor bedroom of my house. The house is only 7 years old so admittedly I was upset and worried as to where the water was coming from. This was on a Friday evening. On Saturday morning I contacted Alex around 8am in the morning and by 10am Alex was on my driveway. This was extremely positive. Alex takes the time to listen and then gets to work. He's mindful of not making a mess when he works and takes time to explain what he's doing. Alex explored the attic crawlspace and the roof which is no easy feat given how tall my house is. He identified the source of the leak being a rusty exposed nail and identified additional areas that my builder did not caulk and improper shingle installation. Alex provided me with photos and videos to approach my builder with. He explained what he did to remedy the leak and advised me to call him back if it happened again.
