I contracted Sunil at Woodline to build a custom home. My experience with Woodline Framing Company was highly unprofessional and frustrating. From the start, Sunil, the contractor, failed to fulfill basic responsibilities. Despite receiving clear instructions multiple times, he printed the WRONG set of construction plans, I had to drop off the correct set despite him having them in his possession, he missed key materials, including a large post and placed expensive orders for incorrectly sized beams, which led to significant delays and additional costs. He assured me that everything was accurate and even copied me on an email to the welder/steel supplier confirming the order, only for me to discover major errors that further stalled the project. Without prior notice or approval, Sunil subcontracted the entire job without disclosing this arrangement upfront. This unexpected subcontracting left me at risk, especially as it became evident that the subcontractors had not been paid. Sunil's approach to managing this project was not only careless but also financially reckless, as he failed to properly manage payments and overcharged me for work that was never completed. Additionally, I communicated to him that I was not to be used as his bank to pay his subcontractors as our agreement had clear milestones. I paid Sunil $23,000 plus taxes, and yet only one-third of the milestone was completed - I agreed, out of good-faith on my part (to pre-pay a milestone that wasn't completed believing he would pay his subcontractors and what he owed them). His lack of accountability and professionalism throughout the project has left me with escalating expenses and significant delays. We both agreed to terminate the contract and that I would work directly with the subcontractors that were doing the work instead. We both agreed to this - only to have him hire a law firm demanding that I pay him the full amount of the contract! What's laughable is that he wouldn't even be entitled to the full amount of the contract given he was subcontracting the whole project and had already been overpaid based on my contract with him - I'm entitled to a refund. Sunil did not know or understand basic framing fundamentals like screwing down posts on a wooden LVL beam. I told Sunil I had spoken to other framers and a builder and you never do that as there's nothing (no thread) to attach the post to the wooden LVL below. Regardless, his solution, was "I do it all the time" - which is a scary thought. Rather than admit he forgot a steel beam, he insisted that I ask my engineer to approve a wooden LVL. This is a nearly 7000 sq ft modern home and he would rather cut corners rather than replace the steel beam which I had to push him to do and fix (his subcontractors were able to swap that out and fix it). My only saving grace was that he agreed to terminate the contract and be out of the picture completely before it cost me more money. If you are looking for a reliable, trustworthy contractor, I would strongly advise against using Woodline Framing Company. ÂLatest review:Akal appliance ltd

Great North concrete worked with us to bring our dream patio to fruition. They asked what colour and design we wanted, and was sure to come out to do a measure up. They gave us clear explanations on what the strengths and weaknesses were for the design and location of the patio. They brought in machinery to properly prepare the land. They laid gravel and packed everything judiciously. The forming was done with care to make sure everything would be secure for the pour. When the concrete truck showed up they worked hard and moved fast to get the mix where it needed to go. I was doing a fence at the same time as the patio, so we used the post holes to get rid of the extra mix. The boys had everything prepped properly at this point to be able to level off, apply colour, and stamp the concrete efficiently. After some time, they came back to spray the colour powder off for the reveal, and WOW I couldnt believe how sexy that concrete looked! Nick dropped by at another date to get some relief cuts in. The cuts were nice and straight. We had some bad weather after that, so we had to wait a few weeks, but Nick dropped by again to spray the sealer. The sealer gave it a nice glazed/glossy look. They also poured a pad as a foundation for a shed. This was done with a smooth edge and a broom finish. My son enjoyed watering the pad for the next week to help it cure and watch it turn white. Would highly recommend Great North Concrete, they did an excellent job. Its been roughly 1 year since they completed the job and everything is holding up very well so far.

Ante and his team replaced our eavestroughs (with added gutter guards), soffits, fascia, and downspouts. They also installed aluminum capping to finish off the look and protect our wooden trim. We got quite a few quotes and found Ante was best able to answer our questions clearly and provide recommendations so we could make the best choices for our house. Their quote was itemized and sent over e-mail and fell in the middle range of the quotes we got so we felt comfortable that it was a fair price. They were able to start work quickly and we were happy with the workmanship and final results. Everything was done over two days and they cleaned up all debris and removed our old materials. I liked that it was a multi generational family working together in the business, passing on knowledge and skills from father to son. We've had both rain and snow since the installation and everything has been working great so we are very happy we chose Superior Aluminum.
