Once the work was scheduled, the work went pretty smoothly. They showed up on the scheduled date, they completed the work fairly quickly, payment was straightforward. Since this was work to repair the roof, it's too soon to tell if it was done well, but they did seem to take care in doing the job well.

A toilet in our house came away from the floor in a way that broke the flange it was bolted to. I called MT Drains because they had done a fine repair job in our kitchen a few months earlier. Viktoriya in the office was very friendly & helpful in getting us a cost estimate in a timely fashion and setting up an appointment to fix the problem that fit our schedules. We received email confirmation and reminder of the appointment, and a text confirmation on the morning of the appointment itself. The technician, Amir, arrived a few minutes before the start of the window for the appointment, which I always appreciate a lot! He was friendly, polite and professional. He assessed the repair requirements, confirmed the estimate, and completed the job in a timely manner. Amir also cleaned up everything and even took the garbage away with him. Viktoriya followed up shortly thereafter by phone to check that we were pleased with the job, and then sent the invoice to me for the agreed amount. She also confirmed that they received our payment right away. Ive used MT Drains services for plumbing issues before and will happily use them again!

We chose Impressed Roofing because of the prompt response in providing a quote for the job. They covered all the major options and provided a very good set of basic items like GAF shingles, waterproof sheet around the edges of the roof etc. Although, we had a disagreement with the scheduling of the job, once it was settled the crew showed up early in the day to start the job. And, before 6pm, it was completed very nicely with no garbage left on the ground. I was very satisfied with the work.

Blind head bracket was installed crooked, valence supports were not installed properly & a receipt was not provided upon completion of the installation. Before starting the installation, the installer complained that Levelor had not provided the correct mounting brackets... when they were in fact correct. Installers do not speak English well so it was difficult understanding them. Price was good.

When we found ourselves suddenly in need to put our house on the market asap, I turned to Homestars to get a quote to have the whole interior of the house painted in a short amount of time. Peter answered the request quickly and we had an appointment for a quote right way. From the first moment he arrive I got a good feeling he understood exactly what we needed done, the repairs required. He took the time to explain the different paints and colours and how they would look in different lighting. He also advised which colours would work best for potential buyers. He was also able to accommodate our timeline to have the job finished. As my husband is a night shift worker and his team were very conscientious and considerate as to plan the noisier parts of the project to be done before my husband had to retire to bed. They worked quietly and quickly while he was asleep and left the house tidy every evening before they left. The job was finished on time and with minimal disruption to our lives. He always responded promptly to my texts and were back quickly to touch up a few small oopss that were noticed after the paint had dried for a couple of days. General contractor service: Install baseboard and paint closet;convert regular door to sliding door, while paint and baseboard work was done to good level, door work was not done correctly. One of the screw started coming out within 3 days, when contacted them again, to suggest any steps we could take received no response.

Waterproofing basement or foundation- 20 May 2025
We hired Stay Dry to address a leak in our basement. Stefano came by and assessed the job, and we were impressed by how he described the process. Domenic and Stefano were responsive and pleasant to deal with. The project started on time, and went on just slightly longer than planned, but that was mainly due to the difficulty of getting to the affected part of the property. The crew were polite, and worked hard, especially Lee-Roy who had to cover for one of his co-workers who had a car accident coming to the house, and put back a whole lot of earth on his own. The site was cleaned up properly and looks good; there were no surprises with the process.

I had two three handrails installed by this family owned business. I put off writing a negative review for many months as I don't want to harm someone's livelihood. However, I'm reminded of substandard product I was given. I have renovated my entire house, inside and out, and only hired them because I was thinking of selling the house and my schedule was already full. Their work really, really bothers me because I know I could have done a better job and this is their specialty. Here are two of the big issues. - The handrail is a rectangle in cross section, something like 2x2.5". I figured they would come and measure, manufacture, then return with the finished handrail. No. they cut it on site and glue the ends together during installation. The joint isn't smooth between the two pieces. I run my hand over the misalignment every day. AND, they didn't even bring their own glue. I had give them mine. - One of the handrails popped out of the wall while my dad was using it (photo included)
