Genassy Construction recently completed a first-floor renovation for me, and I must say that I am very impressed with the results. They refinished the staircase, completely renovated the kitchen, installed potlights on the main floor, removed the popcorn ceiling, and painted the entire house. The work was completed quickly and professionally. Chris and the Genassy team was attentive to detail and they went the extra mile. They were always available to answer questions and addressed any concerns I had. The attention to detail was especially impressive. Every aspect of the job was done with precision and care. I was especially impressed with the kitchen renovation. They did a great job of incorporating my ideas and making sure that the finished product was exactly what I wanted. I would highly recommend them for any renovation project. They are professional and efficient. I am very pleased with the results and I am sure you will be too.

I wrote about Arian last year because of his incredible in person home visit re my Central Vac. system. I was so impressed by him that I vowed that I would never consult anyone else for all my Central Vac needs . This time around I needed to go in person to the Thornhill location as my hose was clogged ....and there was nothing we could do to unclog it . I called Arian , and he said to bring it in and they would take a look and see what could be done . Turns out my 8 year old sucked up a rock and some gravel ..go figure . No problem for team Amati . 24 hours later and not only was my hose clog free but they even tightend the screws in the handle . Basically giving me a brand new hose for next to nothing . Amati is honest and reliable . There was no tricky sales pitches to get me to upgrade ( the hose is over 30 years old ! ) and the price was more than reasonable . I will never trust anyone but them .

After being overwhelmed by my situation I was fortunate to have Nima come and fix the situation with efficiency and expertise. He bought and brought the units I had chosen and checked what he needed to do the work and got on with it. At one point he told me that he would need some extra supplies and the extra cost. He was pleasant and courteous and thoughtful (eg asked me where he should put the cardboard) The final price was less than I had thought it would be. I was so impressed with him and his work that I have made an appointment with him for further work I need to be done

This was the only firm that agreed to replace a large double-glazed pane of glass without replacing the frame. George and his crew did an amazing job of getting out the old glass without damaging the original frame. The cost was a fraction of what it would have cost to replace the frame and the appearance of the house was not altered.

Good quality of work. Team is organized, they work well together and very safe. Roy is always supervising the work and very supportive to his team. They are also very busy, so you need to schedule the work in time, follow up and be patient with responses. It takes 1-2 days to get responses back due to very busy schedule. Use text, do not call. They are not the cheapest on the market but they provide good quality, worth the investment. Our driveway was very damaged, the ground was contaminated and they took the time to repair and added extra crashed stone to ensure a strong base. I will recommend them to friends and family.

You cannot trust their estimate. I contracted them to build a second floor addition, and after supplying them with detailed CAD drawings, architectural plans of the existing house, and all the information they needed to provide the most accurate and realistic estimate possible, they later increased some of the biggest costs to MORE THAN DOUBLE what they had estimated. One could accept increases of up to 10% or 15%, but not over 100% when there are no changes or unforeseen circumstances to account for them! They claim that they work with you and keep you on budget every step of the way. That is not true. The designer had not even looked at the estimate to begin with, and during the design process, I was not able to get any pricing until the design was finished. And then they put obstacles and threatened additional design costs when I wanted to go back to make the necessary revisions to reduce a large cost increase. That was the first of three instances in which they doubled costs for no other reason than having made a mistake or omission in their initial estimation. This is by no means the honest, customer-focused company they profess to be. They do provide a more itemized estimate than other builders, which is why I chose them. But when they increase costs by so much for no valid reason, the estimate means nothing. In short, after two years spent correcting the designers constant mistakes (which also delayed permits), waiting for updated costs and information, and disputing unfair cost increases, I had to give up the addition before construction had even begun. Besides the disappointment and aggravation, I have also lost a non-refundable deposit of over $20,000 plus the cost of all the permits.
