We hired Stay Dry to address a leak in our basement. Stefano came by and assessed the job, and we were impressed by how he described the process. Domenic and Stefano were responsive and pleasant to deal with. The project started on time, and went on just slightly longer than planned, but that was mainly due to the difficulty of getting to the affected part of the property. The crew were polite, and worked hard, especially Lee-Roy who had to cover for one of his co-workers who had a car accident coming to the house, and put back a whole lot of earth on his own. We are very impressed with the work of Rodney and his team at Magenta. During the initial planning stages, he was very reliable - he would get back to us quickly and with useful information. We could tell he was planning the project diligently, even before the first shovelful of soil was moved. When the project began, all of the material and plants arrived on site on time for the crew. There was a small hiccup in the laying out of the patio, but fortunately it was caught early in the process and fixed with minimal fuss. Finally, Rodney stayed extra late to ensure that the work was completed, and the jobsite cleaned. George and his crew did an amazing job of getting out the old glass without damaging the original frame. The good news is that the Trane heat pump problem reported in MAY was resolved in mid-October, thanks to the skill and persistence of technicians, chiefly Adam. The first visit was early in July. The technician was unable to find the cause of the problem and tried to contact Tech Support. Tech Support was not available so the Tech went away saying he would do research and come back with a solution. I called a week later to make another appointment - in August. Again the Tech was unable to fix the problem but was able to reach Tech Support and was told that the heat pump was designed to not operate unless the outside temperature was below 15C. Nonsense! A visit early in September tried to contact Tech Support but was on hold for 90 minutes. The tech had 3 more calls to make that day so I sent him away. Another visit in September found an error code that suggested defective pressure sensors. These were replaced at the next visit but the problem wasn't solved and another error code showed a defective circuit board. This was installed in October. Problem solved. The company's response to my June review invited a dissatisfied customer to contact Brendon, the company owner. This I have been trying to do since early November. This company did our front landscaping with interlock and small area with shrubs in summer of 2015. Now its 2016, the interlock is sinking, stones are moving and grout has washed away. Hired Henry's Bobcat to excavate 3 LARGE (18" x 5') concrete fence footings from our yard, and drill four 18" holes for new posts. They were prompt, helpful, project cost was as we had agreed before hand (no hidden fees). The employee who came to our home worked hard all day on our yard, completed the work on time (which was important to us because another contractor was coming that evening to carry out the next step), and was easy to get along with. I would definitely recommend the company. Our deck is 15 years old, the wood became black and the old paint was peeling. IP the owner of the company responded promptly to my request for a quote, his quote was very responsible for full restoration of the wood which included pressure washing and painting. Him and his helpers worked thoroughly and IP thrives for perfection and put his heart in the job. He restored also the wall and the railing although it wasn’t included in the quote.
