We started our renovation with such high hopes but the project ended prematurely (and was left incomplete) leaving us with absolute disappointment. We had to hire another company to fix the shoddy work Luis left behind. Luis can do alot of things but unfortunately in our home he did nothing really well. Based on the work he did for us, I can only conclude that he is nothing more than a glorified handyman parading as a professional contractor. My suggestion is to keep looking. He was a nightmare. If you read Luis' reply to this post, don't believe a word - just look at the pics. He is trying to paint me as the problem when he needs to look into the mirror. This job was not finished as Luis was fired from the project due to poor workmanship. He makes it sound like he returned my money but this is untrue. He paid back a small portion of the pre-paid installment payments which were made in good faith and on time. Despite what he says below, he just could not deliver what he promised and what he did deliver was generally sub-par. A third contractor (not hired) that saw pics of the work said, "The picture you sent me needs to be completely torn out, absolutely terrible work, Im not touching that with a 12ft pole. Sorry man, dont take it the wrong way. Im not interested in fixing anyone elses work or having someone elses work be the base for my work. If youre not willing to tear that out, Ill pass."

Me and My Family have used Jamie's Lawn Care going on three years. Jamie and his guys replaced my lawn 2 summers ago and have since maintained it with regular fertilizing and aeration. we also have become very dependant on Jamie as we no longer like to cut our own lawn we leave it up to him to keep the property looking great all summer. The job is Always done when scheduled and the guys are all friendly. I would recommend Jamie's Lawn Care and have to all my friends and family and will continue to use him for years to come hopefully!

We worked with Renovation Science for the remodel of a home we purchased in 2023, and we couldnt be happier with our decision. David had previously renovated my sisters home, and based on her glowing recommendation, we knew we were in good hands. From the start, David proved to be not only reliable and responsible but also incredibly thoughtful and budget-conscious. He truly took our financial constraints to heart and worked closely with us to find creative solutions that met our vision without exceeding our budget. The tradespeople he brought in were equally professional, skilled, and kind, which was especially important since we lived in the house throughout much of the renovation. Having trustworthy, considerate people around our family made the process so much easier. Anytime we encountered a challenge, David worked hard to resolve it in a way that didnt compromise quality or strain our finances. Even after the project was completed, David remained responsive and quick to address any questions or small adjustments we needed. Alex did a good job at the design (which was not to scale) and all the other contractors were booked so we decided to proceed with Kasty as he was the only one available and we could use the space for the tail end of the 2020 summer. Despite hearing some warning from others that a 27 year old who claims to have lots of experience and an engineering background would be an issue, we proceed with the project. Things started great and was pleased with the team and work however about halfway through the project we noticed things were being rushed and issues were starting to appear. Typical responses like “we stand behind our work” and “everything is covered under warranty” etc. is what we heard. As we approached the end of the project Alex provided the “Final Invoice” and to let him know if we had any questions. We had done a walkthrough of the front and back and made notes of the parts of the job we were not happy with and some areas where we were over charged. Alex was not happy with the list and became very defensive however after lots of back and forth agreed to a take it or leave it offer from Alex in which we agreed to reduce the final price by $2,235 (~1.8% of the total cost). We took the take it or leave it offer and made the payment in full and ensured Alex signed the final invoice confirming it was paid in full and we moved on. Shortly after this is where things changed... There was a rebate promotion with the stone manufacturer which we were trying to claim however the stone manufacturer responded that we did not qualify as our project was not paid in full. After reaching out to Alex we were told “Not going to go over and above for someone who did this to me” and that “He didn’t agree because he was happy about the conversation” and “Like I said you have a 3 year warranty regardless of how I feel. I put the needs of my work before mine”. 2 month later the cedar trees that Alex planted died. I was told there was a warranty with the nursery and if I got the irrigation system that warranty would be extended (which I did). However, Alex has ignored our requests and those dead cedars have not been replaced. After the winter we noticed lots of cracks, chips and crumbling stone and reached out to the stone manufacturer (as we had a lifetime warranty on the stone). However, received the same response that the contractor (Alex) indicated the project was not paid in full. So finally I escalated the issue to the President of the stone manufacturer and requested an investigation, after providing copies of the emails from Alex and the signed invoice confirming it was paid in full they honored the warranty and also provided me with the rebate that was previously declined. They mentioned they take these matters very seriously and provided a list of approved contractors who would repair the manufacturing defects and the stones that have cracked due to poor workmanship (which is normally not covered). Alex did come by after to see the cracks as he was even surprised how bad the issue was awhen he saw the pics but after some back and forth regarding the quality of the job was told “You can use the money you shorted me to hire someone to fix the work. You wouldn’t want someone who had bad workmanship to fix your yard yea? No one believes a single bad review saying I didn’t honor a warranty, especially when you didn’t pay your bill in full. And I will make sure everyone knows that” which he did in his responses. So I will somewhat agree with his response on the Google Review as we did not pay the “Final Invoice” as we agreed on a “Revised Final Invoice” which was paid in full and signed by Alex. Also, Alex mentioned they did everything they could to keep us happy, so I have uploaded some pictures of what things look like after he tried everything to make us happy (imagine what it looked like before). My expectations for workmanship and quality was much higher for a $130k job. Alex wish you all the best!

I needed some work done to update the basement and some room upstairs. I found it difficult to find a reliable good working contractor that would not leave me in a lurch. I found Ben the Builder. I was pleasantly surprised with his work and work ethic. He listen to what I needed and delivered all at a reasonable price. He called when he knew he would not be able to work. He also provided regular updates as to progress or called if there were any questions or concerns. Good all around jack of all trades.

The experience we had was absolutely terrible! We DO NOT recommend this company. We've spent over $50,000 and still have an incomplete kitchen. We told Dan at Caledon Renovations, from the very beginning, that we needed the renovation completed as quickly as possible to sell and relocate for work. Dan told us that he could complete the work in 4 weeks. On June 3rd, 2024, demolition began on our whole main floor. Once demolition was complete, no one showed up for 2 weeks. We were constantly told there were issues sourcing product, finally, when he showed up with the floor tile, it was not what we had picked but decided to continue anyway to speed up the renovation. It is now August 7th and it still not done. There were several quality issues that were addressed several times and Dan offered to come back to fix these issues for a 3rd time - we declined. The final straw was when we had a subcontractor show up at our house demanding money or he would place a lean on our house. After speaking to this gentleman, we found out that Dan had not paid him and said it was because we owed money - we were paid up to date. When we told Dan we do not want to work with him because of the trouble he has caused, he offered a refund of $1200 for upper kitchen cabinet doors. Even though we were not satisfied with the refund amount, we agreed. We told him to pick up his sign from our home and give us the refund. That was 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from him. We now have to hire another contractor to finish the renovation which is going to cost us more money and time.

The fence is straight and service was prompt, clean, and as quoted. Posts were supported with braces for the first few days, set in concrete; not as deep in the ground and quite a bit higher in the air than I expected.

I hired this company to repair my roof and remove a large tree that was growing too close to the house. They were excellent from start to finish. The team arrived on time, assessed everything carefully, and explained the work in a way that was easy to understand. The roof repair was done quickly and with great workmanship. They fixed the damaged shingles, sealed everything properly, and made sure the roof was secure and protected. The tree removal was handled safely and professionally—they took down the branches and trunk without causing any damage, and cleaned up the entire area afterward. I’m really happy with the results. My roof looks solid again, and the yard is clear and safe. Great service, fair pricing, and a very reliable team. Highly recommend them for roofing and tree removal work.
