My company, 2THOUSAND1 Design Studio, started as an e-commerce website selling safety glasses on Shopify while I was apprenticing as a finish carpenter. It has since evolved into a small-scale sole proprietorship, offering my creative input as a service for small construction projects. I leverage my growing network of builders, homeowners, and now hopefully HomeStars, to generate leads that I can execute when work slows down for my main source of income as a carpenter in the IATSE 873 Union.
