Wonderful experience and job well done. Special thanks to Michael for heading the crew and getting the work done ahead of time. The backyard grading along the property line between my neighbour and myself happens to be quite contentious. It has been mediated by the Richmond Hill Grading Department (RHGD) who have been quite understanding and reasonable in their handling of the situation. When the request came from the RHGD on what was needed on my side, a call was put in to Greenlane Landscaping to estimate the job and provide details on when it could be done. They, in fact, were the only landscaping company that answered my call. Michael, their landscape architect, came by and scoped out the job. It was done in a professional and congenial manner. The terms were agreed fairly shortly after that (regrade of the the area and resod as needed) and the date was set. There was a wrinkle in that the job date had to be pushed forward to meet the needs of RHGD and that was accommodated by Greenlane. When the date came, Greenlane sent a professional crew supervised by Michael, and they did a highly professional job. The crew was congenial and and empathetic in their relations. The job was completed to a first rate standard. the sod and soil provided were excellent and the instructions provide to keep the sod growing were easy to follow. In fact, the sod is the best grass I have in my backyard. There have been no issues with RHGD regarding the work done so far on my side of the property line. Thank you Greenlane on a job well done.

I hired Bogdan Rasputin of Epic Arbor to cut down a tree in the forest behind my back yard that was precariously close to falling into my backyard. Bogdan grossly misjudged the situation and after cutting the tree top high up, the tree fell onto my backyard damaging the fence, artificial turf and gazebo causing $12,000 in damage. To his credit, Bogdan bucked up the tree and tossed the remains into the forest. For the next month Bogdan and I argued back and forth regarding who would do the repairs and how much it would cost. We were not able to come to an agreement, so in utter frustration I made a claim to my own home insurance provider and was successfully paid out minus a $900 deductible that Bogdan to date has refused to discuss. I cannot recommend Epic Arbor to do any kind of arboreal work as he clearly demonstrated poor judgement, a lack of understanding tree falling techniques and a severe reluctance to make amends for poor performance.

I highly recommend Tayo Construction. Our condominium corporation was referred to Tayo last summer for extensive sewer line excavation work that needed to be performed from the back of the townhouse complex, through the patios and parking lot out to the mainline. From the initial quotes Hector, Otto and team were fantastic to deal with. They presented three viable options to fit our budgets ranging from the minimum work required for the repair all the way to complete cement patios, sidewalks, fences and parking lot replacement which we eventually proceeded with. As an architect, the president of the condo board and one of the units that had the construction directly out my front door I can say that all team members were truly professional from Tayo. They were on-time every day, the work was completed on schedule and the property was clean, safe and secure at the end of each work day. The value that our condo was able to get through Tayo went beyond the expectations of even our 5 year reserve fund study. The most impressive aspect of this Tayo project was the fact that 6 months later there was an issue with a fence post and Tayo stood by their warranty and came back to fix it. If the need arises for a large project like this in the future, we will most certainly use Tayo again.

In my front yard, the "Interlock Walkway and Steps to the Front Porch" shifted and sank within the first year after it was installed by another company. After getting nowhere with that company, I started searching for a company that was credible, competent, and capable of correcting this huge dilemma and safety concerns. Champagne Construction And Interlocking was the company I needed. Its managed by a skilled professional person Matt, who surrounded himself with similar people who are experts in the interlocking business. When the representative came over to work on a quotation to correct the problem/issues, he spent much time observing, measuring, probing and asking questions. Then he clearly explained to me how he planned to correct the problems and issues, as he saw them. He told me that they would have to remove, clean, reuse, adjust, replace, and re-install the interlocking stones and steps. He later gave me an estimate and notified me that the price could change (increase) depending on what he found within and below the base underneath the interlocking stones and steps. I accepted the estimate because I trusted his honesty and believed his expertise based on reviews I read about the company and comments from my friend and a former customer of the company. However, I waited a while (no regrets) for the company to get started and realized then that they took their time to get their jobs done correctly in their first attempt. When they started my job, I observed their careful and confident approach, and the quiet dedication and commitment of the team, particularly Dustin (Michael) who did a great job in rebuilding the steps and walkway. Champagne Construction And Interlocking has my vote and I highly recommend this company to everyone out there!
