Our initial interaction with RINO was very positive,and the job officially startd on March 10 with a comitment to complete in 4 weeks,as outlined in the contract. Payments were released promptly per agreed payment terms.However,it has now been 15 weeks,and the job remains unfinished despite numerous follow-ups and a lack of communication from RINO.Open stairs left without railings for weeks and exposed nails on the steps are saftey concerns—this is particularly alarming given that a 3yr-old child resides in the house. These hazards demonstrate a lack of consideration for the safety and well-being of our family.Most work was handled by subcontractors, who performed well, they too expresed frustration with RINO for reasons tht were evident. To expedite,I personaly painted myself, saving him a week of work.At this point,we r requesting Homestars to intervne and help us get the remaining work complted as soon as possible. I wrote about Arian last year because of his incredible in person home visit re my Central Vac. system. I was so impressed by him that I vowed that I would never consult anyone else for all my Central Vac needs . This time around I needed to go in person to the Thornhill location as my hose was clogged ....and there was nothing we could do to unclog it . I called Arian , and he said to bring it in and they would take a look and see what could be done . Turns out my 8 year old sucked up a rock and some gravel ..go figure . No problem for team Amati . 24 hours later and not only was my hose clog free but they even tightend the screws in the handle . Basically giving me a brand new hose for next to nothing . Amati is honest and reliable . There was no tricky sales pitches to get me to upgrade ( the hose is over 30 years old ! ) and the price was more than reasonable . I came across Talaska Inc through HomeStars and when I looked at the Google and HomeStars reviews, I was almost certain the reviews were fake, as I strongly believed there cant be a single bad review. However I decided to take a chance and call Ziggy for a quote. This led to one of our best home renovation experiences ever. From showing up to provide us with a quote to completing the project, Ziggy was a one man show who was respectful, professional and just amazing. He came home to provide us a quote and within 5 minutes he gave us a price that he stuck with till the end. He explained the process and took the time to answer any and all questions we had (and trust me there was quite a bit) and didnt push us to use his services but left the ball in our court. Appreciating this approach, we decided to book him to have our pool removed. He came on time as mentioned, had a G licensed gas fitter come in to disconnect the gas and cap it, an electrician to assist with the electrical, and then just went to work. It was unbelievable to see how much this man can do in a day on his own, still while stopping to answer our questions and accept our additional requests at no additional cost. He even decided to use sand instead of soil to fill up the area as we were going to put concrete there the year after and he said the sand will pack tighter and be better for when we put concrete. This was also at his own expense, not charging us extra for it. Within 2 and a half days, he had completed all his work, and where the machinery had to go over our and the neighbours lawn due to spacing, he ended up putting good quality topsoil and seeded it for the grass to grow back. The end result was a clean, yet really good demolition work that has set us up nicely for the concrete work the next year. In all, I would highly suggest Ziggy for any demolition work as he is truly the best at it and a great person to work with.
