Andrew unearthed his passion for trees during his high school summer vacation job at a local nursery, where he was introduced to all the different trees, shrubs, annuals and perennials. His first experience with nature was a lasting one. After two summers at the nursery he was hired as an Ontario junior ranger with the Ministry of Natural Resources and was stationed in northern Ontario, tasked with maintaining canoe portage trails and tree planting. After graduating from high school, he knew he wanted to pursue a career in the green industry. He spent the next three years studying at Humber College graduating with honors in arboriculture (the care of trees) and received an honours diploma in landscape horticulture. He was awarded the Board of Governors' Award, which honours the most accomplished student. From Humber College, Andrew was immediately hired by the City of Toronto and over the next thirteen years he was involved in pruning, removal, planting, fertilizing and inspection of trees in city parks and streets. As part of an select group, he spent six of those years working under contract to the Canadian Food Inspection Agency where he was trained to inspect trees for infestation of the Asian Long Horned Beetle and the Emerald Ash Borer. The ReLeaf Group was founded as a part-time business to provide tree care service to private home owners but his exceptional reputation soon grew his business into a full time venture. DS Handyman Services was created to be a mobile trade service available to those who are in need of small repairs to be completed in their home residences. In this fast paced world, we are constantly on what I like to call “the roller coaster of life” trying to find a brief moments to share with our families, loved ones or even to take a few minutes for ourselves. Every day is beyond busy. Repairs begin to pile up, home improvements get pushed aside and sometimes curtains don’t even get hung up. DS Handyman Services was established to assist in those frustrating and forgotten projects. Sometimes the project feels too big for someone to complete on their own and an individual may feel more comfortable having someone else complete the project for them. It doesn’t hurt to ask or even get a quote. The estimates are free with no obligation to proceed. There are many trades available today that offer similar services but, unfortunately they are too busy, they don’t want smaller jobs or sadly, don’t even acknowledge the person’s inquiry. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than not even being acknowledged. Time is a commodity for us now. When we take the time out of our busy schedule to inquire, this usually means we need the repair/project completed or we are excited to have it done. DS Handyman Services is designed to complete those projects in a professional way. Rates as follows: - $450+tax daily rate (1 person) - $800+tax daily rate (2 people) - Materials extra. Service Calls: - $125 for the first hour and a half. $75 per hour up to a maximum of $450 per day. *Please note, I usually ask to look at at job to confirm guaranteed quote. All estimates are free.

Whether it be a kitchen or a small vanity we consistently maintain our high standards throughout the project. We also offer free onsite quotes, where we will take the time to give you recommendations towards choosing the proper colour and hardware. The process involved for revitalizing your cabinets takes 3 simple steps, and you can be involved as much or as little as you like. 1st step: Give us a call so we can arrange a date for the onsite quote. During this quote we will get a feel for your kitchen and ask a few simple questions that will help determine the proper quote. 2nd step: If you decide to go with us we will set up a date for our team to return to remove the cabinet doors and do the onsite spray. The steps that we take for our onsite spray can be seen on our facebook page. For the Onsite spray we will require for you to remove all the items from your cabinets prior to our arrival. This will ensure no overspray gets on anything. The onsite spray process only takes one day, depending on the size of the kitchen. Step 3: We will return 7-10 days later to reinstall your newly refinished cabinet doors. That is the entire process, and at the end you are left with a reborn kitchen in which you can show off to your friends and family. We also give a written 3 year warranty on our work.
