I had the pleasure of working with Jonathan and Jason to restore my client's unit after it was left in terrible condition by a previous tenant. The tenant had caused significant damage, including broken doors, a damaged sliding door, and extensive harm to the bathroom, along with scuff marks and wall damage throughout the unit. Jonathan and Jason were incredibly efficient and professional in addressing all the issues. They replaced the doors, repaired the sliding door, repainted the entire space, and performed thorough patchwork on the walls. They were very responsive and came out quickly to check for leaks after Enbridge’s sub contractor Lakeside Performance Gas swapped the meter and told us there was a leak. Mega City were very knowledgeable, did a thorough inspection, didn’t find anything, and were able to get the gas back on that very evening. Our gas lines and water heater (the only gas devise in use) are only 5 years. Beware, Lakeside Performance lies about the leak to offset responsibility and liability of their work.

GE appliances recommended Kirk to replace the glass stovetop on our induction oven. My wife paid for the work, by VISA, ($624.56) but when we were e-mailed the receipt, it was for $489.04. When contacted he stated the extra charge of $135.52 was for labour. When he was informed that the GE receipt for $489.04 included labour and all taxes he then changed his story and stated that "they" were having billing issues and "it would be adjusted this week". As expected, we never heard from him again and he won't return calls or e-mails. Avoid Smart-Tech Appliance Service - this individual has no moral compass and does not care about ripping-off seniors.

I need to repair my chimney and replace some of my window sills, so I did survey on HomeStars and found A&A Masonry. They called me the next day in the morning and Shawn came to evaluate and explain what is urgent to do. He is an experienced person so I trust him. Eduardo and his team came to do my project. They were working really hard and cleaned nicely after their job. Eduardo also saved some bricks from the old chimney for me too. This is so thoughtful because it is hard to find this kind of bricks now. Shawn and their manager Joe came to check the work during the day. The new window sills look beautiful and also the chimney. I am very happy that I chose A&A Masonry. Looking forward doing another project with them next year. Jennifer

I did an extensive review of contractors on Homestars who specialized in the supply and installation of tankless water heaters. There were many impressive options to choose from but I eventually settle on MMS Heating & Cooling. The glowing reviews and the impression I got from my initial interaction with Matt was the deciding factor. The quote I received from him was reasonable and competitive. He came across as professional, knowledgeable, responsive , accommodating and courteous. They arrived punctually to start the work as per our agreement and did an outstanding job. They completed the job on time exactly as Matt had indicated they would. The water heater was professionally and neatly installed without any issues or problems. A toilet in our house came away from the floor in a way that broke the flange it was bolted to. I called MT Drains because they had done a fine repair job in our kitchen a few months earlier. Viktoriya in the office was very friendly & helpful in getting us a cost estimate in a timely fashion and setting up an appointment to fix the problem that fit our schedules. We received email confirmation and reminder of the appointment, and a text confirmation on the morning of the appointment itself. The technician, Amir, arrived a few minutes before the start of the window for the appointment, which I always appreciate a lot! He was friendly, polite and professional. He assessed the repair requirements, confirmed the estimate, and completed the job in a timely manner. Amir also cleaned up everything and even took the garbage away with him. Viktoriya followed up shortly thereafter by phone to check that we were pleased with the job, and then sent the invoice to me for the agreed amount. She also confirmed that they received our payment right away. Ive used MT Drains services for plumbing issues before and will happily use them again!
