High Efficiency was very responsive to my questions and gave me a very detailed and competitive quote. They are a Carrier dealer and Carrier is the brand I preferred. Other installers seemed to be more ready to put in whatever they had in the shop and were not as familiar with their product as High Efficiency. I had two furnaces and one combi boiler that were overdue for a general inspection. I had to wait a bit to get these guys out for the inspection as it was prime season for furnace emergencies but they were scheduled for the New Year and showed up on time with great communication en route. It was a seasoned tradesman with an apprentice, both friendly and polite. They took their time and found an issue with the original installation of the combi boiler. I felt like my appliances got a through review (complete with detailed report) and I was happy to know they are working fine and in the Spring I will have this company back to correct the installation error on the boiler (not done by them) and have the boiler flushed. This company was recommended to me by a friend, and I am so glad that I took the advice. The owner, Sam, is a perfect gentleman and did a superb job renovating my kitchen and bathroom. He's an experienced plumber and electrician, so never needed to call in subcontractors. The price he quoted was fair, and he never asked for more money because the job was proving "more difficult than expected". My experience with contractors in the past has been spotty, but Sam was honest to a dime, and even added upgrades at his expense because he thought they made the work look better. He runs a tight little team who are perfectionists. He frequently asked me if everything was to my liking. Communication was perfect; I never had to wait for an answer to a question. I highly recommend this company.

Update: Found another issue with the AC that I'm hoping the company will resolve. Called the company and promised to send someone to look at it. Until then, I no longer feel confident I made the right choice. The interaction with the sales agent went well, decided to get their service the same day. Installer came on the promised day. The installation took 10+hours. Then we found out the humidifier was not wired back properly. The technician came back after 5 days to fix the humidifier connection. The issue we had here is the technician's non-familiarity with the advance thermostat. So if you're getting this company make sure you ask for someone who has experienced working with a Nest or Ecobee. They do eventually fixed the issue but it takes time. And I can also say, the technician is also nice and respectful, they just probably need more training on newer technology. Also I think the AC was not sized correctly for my house. When our furnace started to malfunction, I called Edward, who was my furnace maintenance serviceman. Edward came by and gave our furnace a temporary fix. He pointed out that there was a leakage in the system, and the fix would likely not last. Seeing that our furnace was twenty years old, my wife and I decided it was time to replace the system, and since Edward had given us good reliable service in the past, we thought he would be the appropriate provider. Two days later, Edward arrived as scheduled with two other servicemen. They fully protected (the flooring of) the part of the house through which they had to move the equipment to get to the basement where the furnace is normally housed. They cleared an adequate area so that they could worked reasonably comfortably. For three to four hours, they worked furiously at dismantling the old furnace, and installing the new one. Throughout the process, they seemed to know exactly what to do. The only question they had was one concerning the exhaust pipe, as regulations have changed. In the end, they completed the installation, moved everything in the basement back in place, and did a general sweep up. Because the new furnace is a little smaller than the old one, the basement actually seems to have gained some space in the process. At the conclusion of the installation, Edward accompanied me to the site, explained the equipment to me. He also explained the invoice to me and answered my queries. This marks the second time I have dealt with Edward, first time being furnace maintenance last year. I always find him to be a very trustworthy person. He is quiet but he tells you everything you should know and need to know. He is a man of his words, and certainly very knowledgeable, and gets things done. Flew back from Christmas holiday and got in at 2 am on Jan 30th with my little kids to discover my furnace had apparently given up just a couple of hours earlier. I called Or at 7:30 am ( I thought it would be a tough week to find people who can help). Or answered immediately and showed up within 2 hours. He diagnosed the issue within 20 minutes and managed a quick but likely temp fix. Got me a quote on the replacement part before noon, picked it up and showed back up around 5:30pm to install it and let us carry on as if it had never happened. Not cheap - but nothing is these days so I find it hard to make a judgement on value - especially when it come to having heat during the cold weather. But I can still spot prompt and polite service when I see it and this was that. Mabda (Ben) is a someone you should avoid at all costs. He charged me $350+HST for fixing a sink at a condo I own. I trusted the work would be done and did not follow up to confirm. Buyer beware, the sink was not fixed at all! If he challenges this review, I have receipts showing what I paid, and pictures that show it was never fixed. Stay away!! The best/funniest part is, he flooded my toilet when he was there too just my luck! Read the reviews and don't waste your time. The good ones are probably fake.

I am satisfied with all aspects of my experience buying and installing a new furnace with Pro Climate. Armando spent a long time at the house figuring out the best, least disruptive way to install the furnace in our finished basement. The pricing was very competitive compared with other quotes that I received. And the actual installation was done in exactly the way that Armando said it would be done.
