Sever Homes took on our dream project and transformed the central living space in our home to one that we can’t imagine living without! The project came in on budget within the initial timelines agreed. The owner is an outstanding lead contractor and maintained a regular communication flow so we were kept updated on status constantly. The quality of finish is superb. He has a keen eye for function and design and he provided solid guidance at every key stage. He saved us precious time by directing us to selective third party vendors and even accompanied us on shopping trips and planning meetings to ensure all involved collaborated in an effective manner, thereby keeping the pace of progress on track. When we met with any unexpected complexities/challenges he provided solid rationale for workable solutions, always upholding the integrity of the design. He is well respected within the industry, as evidenced by the strong relationships he has with a stand-up group of sub-trades. They all worked efficiently, seamlessly handing off from one to the other, back and forth - always maintaining the same high standard of work that we came to expect from Sever Homes and team. The level of after-service we received served to enhance what was overall an outstandingly positive experience from Sever Homes. tl;dr I had a fantastic experience with KitchenInstallation.ca Our basement flooded in July and our tiny laundry room was the last to be restored. Given the small job, I could have built the Ikea cabinets and install them myself, but I just didnt have the motivation to finish the laundry room. KitchenInstallation.ca was recommended by someone in our community Facebook group. I reached out to KitchenInstallation.ca for a quote. Alex, the owner, asked a lot of questions about the laundry room layout and our design goals and then gave us a detailed quote to complete the work. As an aside, I have a job where it is difficult for me to answer my personal phone during work hours so Alex communicated through text to keep the project moving. He arranged for two workers to complete our laundry room; one to build the cabinets, the other to install them. They were on-time and very nice to deal with. Because it was a laundry room, I was a bit indifferent about some aspects of the installation, including the filler pieces between the cabinets and the wall; but the installers were not. The filler pieces were cut perfectly and match our wavy walls with no gaps (its an old house). If you have ever built Ikea cabinets, you know how finicky their adjustable concealed cabinet hinges can be. All cabinet doors are perfectly aligned. The installers even bundled up all the cardboard for recycling. Alex sourced an ideal sink and even found a off-cut for the countertop to save some money. The invoice matched the quote with no surprises. We are very happy with our completed laundry room. It was a fantastic experience dealing with Alex and his crew.

I had a pipe burst last winter, which gutted my basement bathroom. Anton and his team did an amazing job renovating the entire bathroom. I would rather go to the basement bathroom now than to the ones upstairs! They also added beautiful sandstone tiles to my front steps and my backyard, replacing aged concrete. They've honestly been a pleasure to work with. Rick arrived to give me an estimate on my small jobs. He told me what he thought the causes for each were & what he would do. He figured out that the Breaker for the 3rd floor and 1st floor kitchen outlets were connected & I got power again. No charge! I booked him. He said the leak in the Kitchen ceiling was not a broken pipe but caused by the toilet nearby on the 2nd fl. He added a double wax seal & rubber to stop the leaking. Then ripped out only damaged parts of ceiling and wall and repaired it. He reassured me there was no mold. And finally he created a good looking metal Fascia over the wooden one below the roof where Wood Bee's decided to make their home & honey factory. He did make sure they were gone first. I would recommend Rick and his team to anyone. They were very kind & did not try to force me to do work I didn't want done yet. Rick & his team are very intuitive & experienced & are quick to remedy a problem. Backyard butchered by Astrero General Services I hired Michael Astrero based on his great reviews. I asked for 3 simple fixes: lower my backyard steps to code, level a sloped area and reduce a fence gap. Instead, he did whatever he wanted and left my yard a disaster. He stained and splashed cement all over my best stone slabs that were not to be touched, broke several stones while forcing them into place, installed broken pieces, and painted the stairs bleck to cover tons of glue and cement he used, when I asked for natural stone. Cemente and stain was spashed on my new fence and decorative stones were ruined. I paid $ 5,821.98 including the extra materials he damaged, and he refused to give me the receips. I felt pressured and intimidated throughout. My backyard now needs a full redo. This was not professional work. I'm persuing legal action and want others to be warned. He completely miss represented his abilities and should not be doing masony work.

When I was hired as a Project Manager and GC to oversee a whole home reno, in a century old home in toronto, I was thrilled. We were very happy to have James and the LBM crew in our home to help us design and build a beautiful loft area in our kids play room. The original space was a hidden unusable attic which was transformed into the funnest play space with ladder and slide! We love the layout, the functionality (they even added a long storage closet at the back of the room which is amazing) and design. We absolutely love the addition of the window so we can watch the kids play and this also allows beautiful light into the space. We're very happy with this project and look forward to working with James and his team again soon!

I added some shallow cabinets and a free-standing island to my kitchen to improve the functionality of a very small space.
