I had a great experience working with Grand Building and Contracting Ltd. I hired them to remove and construct a new garage. Adam and his team understood the entire scope of the work. I was provided with a detailed schedule, timelines, and estimate before commencing the project. There was an issue with a city tree on my neighbour's property that had to be dealt with. Other contractors vanished at this point in the project. Adam guided me on what steps I had to take and the necessary paperwork I needed to file with the city over the course of seven months. When the project was finally approved, the trades workers were on time, highly skilled, professional and efficient. Adam was there at the beginning and end of every part of the construction. I greatly appreciated the regular communications I received. He even made sure my neighbours were satisfied with how the construction was effecting them. I can't say enough positive things about Grand Building and Contracting Ltd. I will use them again for my next project. We hired Allan and company to drywall our entire basement following underpinning. His work included sourcing the materials, installing, taping, and mudding. We were so happy with Allan and his team that we hired him for the priming and painting immediately after the drywall. Allan's work was top notch throughout and done on schedule. We had our own GC working on the job and they coordinated perfectly throughout. Allan's communication throughout the project was excellent. He kept us well informed of what was going on and when we could expect people to be in our house. When we had questions or concerns, he was quick to answer them. We have an infant and a toddler at home so noise and dust were major concerns for us. Allan and his team were very accommodating. The work was quiet and the dust was kept to a minimum. I hired Marko to replace the laminate flooring in my condo with vinyl flooring. The work done by his team was good — the installation was neat and completed on time. Based on that, I was initially satisfied and would have rated the experience highly. However, on the day the work was completed, I noticed a dent in the middle of the new floor. I contacted Marko right away, and he responded, saying he would fix it after his two-week vacation. Up until then, our communication had been smooth, so I agreed to wait. Unfortunately, he didn’t follow up after the two weeks. I reached out again and was told that he had started a new project and would contact me later to schedule the repair. I was told by a couple of (other) electricians that dimmer switches cannot be installed in my outlets and that they don't work with my dimmable integrated LED. Behzad came to my place, looked at the situation, did what he needed to do, adjusted what needed to be adjusted and did a perfect job. Courteous, professional and efficient.
