Repaired water damaged four fingered wood parquet flooring that is not easy to purchase anymore. He cleaned, sanded, rejoined with wire the 1"×6.5" wood pieces. Removed old glue, cleaned floor then reglued pieces. I am more than pleased with the work. Daniel was very easy to talk to and actually listened to our concerns and worked within our budget and deadline. Karim was an excellent source of information from the start. He encouraged us to do the project ourselves first because he felt it was an easy fix and didnt want us to have to pay for it. He even offered to loan his tools! When he did come to fix the planks, he fixed an additional one (at no extra cost) that collapsed. He was easy to communicate with. Work cannot be completed, trying to get my deposit returned On the day of the small job to fix the staircase, they lifted one stone at the bottom of the stairs. Unfortunately the small 5-step staircase immediately came apart (due to age of structure). This meant the nature of the job has changed (its no longer a small job) and my entire staircase had to be replaced (now a bigger job!). It was impossible to proceed with the original small job. I asked to have my deposit returned, after adjusting for expenses they may have incurred (one extra person for labour? truck rental to dispose debris? a bucket of cement?). Its been over 2 weeks since the job attempt. My calls are now automatically sent to an unactivated voicemail. This has been a very unfortunate turn of events. 8-(

Project: Below grade entrance and finish basement Our requirement was to get a below-grade entrance and then complete our basement. Unfortunately, our journey to achieving this was nothing short of a nightmare. The first company we hired took our payment and vanished. The second company, which promised to complete the job in three weeks, dragged it out for a year with endless follow-ups, delivered the worst possible workmanship, and ultimately failed the inspection. They then abandoned the project entirely and wouldn’t even take our calls. After spending 1.5 times our budget and dealing with so much frustration, we lost all trust in contractors. Our basement project was put on hold indefinitely because we feared even more complications. Then, through a referral we engaged an engineer Tej from Vin Engineering Inc. to work with us on our legal basement. We wanted to maximize the space in the basement and he accommodate our request, provided some great suggestions to add value to the basement from a long term perpective. In the process of securing the approvals we discussed the issues with failed inspect for below grade entrance. Hearing our story he recommended Aozat Inc. with whom he had worked before. Hitesh and Parixit from Aozat Inc. listened to our concerns, patiently reviewed the failed inspection issues, and provided a clear quote and timeline to complete the project. Given our skepticism and trust issues, they were incredibly flexible, breaking the contract into phases to accommodate us and build our confidence with them. The entire Aozat team was patient, understanding, and professional throughout. They made this entire process easy for us. They always accommodated our requests and never once showed frustration. All approvals were secured at the required stages, ensuring a smooth and compliant process. What stood out most was how the owner and the lead manager of Aozat of the company kept us grounded on costs, making sure we didn’t exceed our budget. Their transparency and honesty were truly commendable. The basement turned out fantastic. We didn’t have to oversee anything, the speed, efficiency in managing different contractors, and their professionalism were admirable and exceeded our expectations. Arsim was amazing and a true God send. We had to fire an amateur contractor because they messed up our kitchen backsplash installation, and I am so glad Arsim to fix what they messed up. He got to working immediately, fixed up the previous contractor's job and did an amazing job installing the kitchen backsplash. His attention to detail, customer centric attitude and willingness to assist made him a pleasure to work with. We liked his work so much that we expanded his scope of work multiple times and he took it all on with a smile and helped us put together our home that was a chaos ever since we moved.
