We recently hired Superior Aluminum to fix poorly done eavestrough work that was completed by another company a couple of years back. Not more than a few minutes on the property Ante was able identify failure points (which were exactly where water was pouring over the eaves). We also chose to add a leaf guard on our eaves. The price quoted for all the work was fair and the work was scheduled promptly and completed on time. Overall, we were extremely happy with Ante's professionalism and knowledge and would definitely recommend Superior Aluminum for eavestrough work.

Before moving into our new house we wanted to have the full house painted including toilets, kitchens and storage areas. Our time was short because we were waiting to receive our household goods from moving companies. So needed something quick. I am glad we found Quick Painting Solutions. They did an excellent job of painting our full house. I feel bad that at the middle of painting days we had to receive our furniture and goods. Which created space issues for the crew. But they were very accommodating, friendly and professional. The crew was very accommodating to our small touch up requests. Whenever we requested them to do small touch ups they worked on those promptly (without any complaints and with a smiling face!!). They even offered us to contact them anytime if there is any issues with the paint and they will fix it. Raman and his Team did an excellent job on our house. Yousef went above and beyond! What began as a minor shower lever issue of a worn gasket with a constantly leaking faucet head, quickly escalated into needing to replace the entire shower unit. He went straight to work resolving the matter and returning the next day to complete the repair and replacement with a whole new shower unit of which I highly recommend installation. Helpful. My first interaction with Andre was very positive, he seemed very knowledgeable and asked questions about the age and history of the home. He also said he only did one project at a time, and didn't start the next one until the previous was complete to our satisfaction. This feeling did not last very long once we had paid the deposit for the renovation. The original scheduled start date was in November. In October we received an email that it was delayed until February. Actual work didn't start until mid March. We agreed at the start of the project that if he needed to stay late if he was going to waste material (like grout or cement). What happened instead was he showed up most days between 10am-1pm and stayed 6-10 hours. Halfway through the project I clarified that I only wanted him in the house between 9-6 and the extra leeway was only for special circumstances. He came on time one day and returned to arriving between 10-1 after that. When demolition started, we was surprised that the walls of the 1930's home were not drywall, and had not heard of rocklathe that the walls were actually made of. He was also surprised the tub was made of cast iron. Both of which he charged more for above the quote price and added 1 week on the 2 week project. Once the bathroom was almost done, I had messaged him to confirm I was able to use the tub which he had tested. Once it drained, I noticed the ceiling below the tub was leaking, the original pipe was held together with epoxy and had come loose from the renovation. Another added cost, and I had to replace my own ceiling, he wanted to charge more and he was behind on the next job. He also moved the bathroom light switch to inside the bathroom, which was also not tested (it turned off all lights upstairs). The light switch move was a line item in the quote and paid for, but when I told him about it he would not entertain fixing the issue. In the end I will need to change this myself, even through I have paid for it and is a line item on the "add-on" quote. Other short nitpicks: - He did not install a shower curtain rod (not specifically called out in the job, but I had assumed that would be included) - Tiles not all flush with the wall, some sticking out - Did not get the tub we wanted, apparently it was out of stock on back order (we paid him the deposit 1 year before the work started) - Shower head was not installed well, o-ring was crushed and was leaking. Luckily I was going to replace with a different head so it was an easy fix The frustrating part is the bathroom itself is well done. If the Andrei and Jessica had just given an accurate quote from the beginning and did the work they said they would it would be a 9-10 star review. They are both very personable and very good hard working people. In the end, I would have been better off with a different company who quoted higher but had explicitly called out the complexity of working on an older home and likely wouldn't have had the surprise cost.

I highly recommend Arthur and GoldenShepherd Contracting. We had a sudden shower leak and he was able to give us a very competitively priced estimate, start and end dates, and a detailed plan to prevent future leaks. We were very impressed with his expertise and professionalism during the course of re-tiling a shower and making it more waterproof, repairing a 3x3 ft drywall patch in the ceiling the plumbers had left, and compounding and painting the ceiling and walls. He was able to complete the work on time, stayed within his original estimate and performed excellent quality work. The shower came out stunning and the drywall patch repair was seamless and invisible (can't tell it was ever there). Arthur is a superb general contractor professional who is friendly, transparent, detailed and results oriented. We confidently recommend him for all types of repairs and renovations.

Gabe is professional, caring and personable. This was the first renovation that my partner or I had gone through and Gabe set the bar high in terms of quality and service. Our bathroom is a small space and Gabe worked to help us make the most of it by asking the right questions and caring about what we valued. Gabe coordinated third-party vendors for cabinet-making, plumbing and electrical, and worked diligently with his co-worker Avery on the tiling, painting, drywall and many other functions. He and Avery are skilled professionals who made the most of a renovation timeline complicated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Simon was able to complete the inspection and repair sameday. In addition to fixing the issue (broken torsion spring), he also did a quick maintenance on the opener and it runs much better and quieter. Very professional service and I would highly recommend!
