We recently hired Lodovik and his team at LG Construction INC for a full outdoor upgrade—removing tree stumps and overgrowth, grading the yard, adding topsoil, pouring a concrete pad, building a fence, laying patio stones, and building a bench. They worked tirelessly in 25+°C heat and always made sure the job was done right. Lodovik was open to changes, easy to work with, and truly professional. The site was cleaned at the end of each day, and everything was power washed when the job was done. The quality of work and attention to detail were outstanding. We had a water leak in our basement and the original eaves were leaking at the seam and backing up into our basement. David came out next day for an assessment and advised not a repair but replacement. A quote was done by the next day and we were also advised he had close colour match that could save us $600! I have an excellent input for all the three. Ozzie, the gentleman who enacted the walk in closets, is a thorough gentleman, excellent in his job with amazing knowledge. I got three walk-inclosets made. He came at 7.30 am, as promised and completed the job before 4.30 pm. He knew his job, so well that I didn't go the closets before he came down and informed that the job is completed. He cleaned up the area thoroughly. The look of the house did not reflect that the gentleman was working for 9 hours. I thank the management for hiring awesome people. I posted a job on here in October 2023 to have the 2 small walls in my sun room (11 feet each in length) renovated - remove the old screen walls and replace them with framed drywall walls and a door to the outside. The door was to be an inexpensive 32 door with a window. Despite Rez having measured everything he did not realize he could not install an outward swinging door because it would hit the roof of my gazebo on my deck. It was his helper that noticed this during framing and offered the suggestion of sliding patio doors. Rez asked for an additional $500 for this change. I paid him immediately - the same day. It took months for the patio doors to be delivered and he promised they would be installed while I was on holiday from Jan 23 to 30, 2024. I came home and they were not installed. 2 weeks later he came and installed them. They are not level and do not latch or lock. Ive contacted him repeatedly to return and fix them and complete the job. There is still more drywalling to do, windows and doors to be trimmed and interior walls to be painted. He says he doesnt do exterior work in the winter - but he took 90% of the cost of the job before Christmas 2023! There is also exterior siding to be done and this also remains incomplete. This has been an awful experience and extremely stressful. Hasn't started yet but I felt comfortable dealing with MJays and they are a local business, knowledgeable , friendly, can get it done fairly quickly with some possible upcoming projects too. Hoping to give a 5 star review for MJays after completed and recommend to others. Update: Finished today and definitely 5 stars! Went over above our expectations. Made 3 trips to get a perfect color match. Attention to detail is definitely a 5 star rating; Did a few other touch ups ( was a surprise) . Will definitely be hiring again for future projects we are thinking of. Definitely recommend MJays if you want a contractor who takes pride in their work , which they clearly do.
