This was our third time using Renovation Experts and we could not be happier with the result. We fully renovated our kitchen and ensuite bathroom, made updates to two bathrooms and refinished our staircase. Stans ability to estimate, communicate progress and leverage his relationships with the best people in each trade resulted in a high quality job with no surprises. I particularly like that the estimate included some assumptions on the cost of key items like tile or cabinetry. This helped to inform our choices and ensure we were aware if we were making selections outside of the budget. We found the work of our day to day on-site supervisor Sam to be detailed and the outcome beyond our expectations. Our electrician Steve and plumber Dom were professional and delivered great work, while making the journey more pleasant. We would not hesitate to use Renovation Experts again or make a referral. Hired X & H Construction thru a big box stores installation services because of their very competitive and fair pricing, which included a $2000 discount. The work performed was to create a powder room in a bedroom, remove old copper piping to be replaced by PVC and to replace a mouldy ceiling in another bathroom. The work was completed in 3 days and we couldnt be happier with the outcome. There was a lot of messages going back and forth as we had plenty of questions but Carrie Who is the project coordinator was very helpful every step of the way. All in all, we are very pleased with how the powder room looks and operates. Their team was very professional and courteous. Would absolutely hire them again for future porjects! Great work X&H team!

After due diligence in researching different companies, Irrigation Nation was our clear choice to install our irrigation system. Dave gave a thorough and detailed quotation and Bronson followed up with the answers to all of our questions. The day of installation went incredibly smoothly as the team carefully installed the piping, wiring and electrical components. The job site was clean and organized and the team left leaving no trace of the intricate and expansive job they'd completed. Bronson was incredibly easy to plan with and went beyond the task at hand to make our grounds look amazing. We hired RenoSmart to fix our drywall and flooring (tile/hardwood) and paint two rooms (ceiling, trim, walls) after a wall was removed. Our previous contractor was terrible. Assiniboine's Landscape Construction Division: specializes in stone patios & pathways, retaining walls, decks & railings, fences & gates, pergolas, flower beds, sodding, grading, planting and so much more. No matter the size of your project, Assiniboine is equipped to do the job. Assiniboine's Property Maintenance Division: services residential, condominium and commercial properties. Our services include weekly and bi-weekly lawn care, vacation cuts, hedge and tree pruning, bed maintenance and fertilization. We also offer Spring and Fall clean up packages to start and end the season right.
I had high hopes for this work when Assiniboine came out last fall to quote it. Their rep painted a very bright picture of what my landscape would like, complete with glossy brochures. Once the 50% deposit was paid, the level of care and customer service fell off a cliff. From miscommunication between their service team and the field crew to missed dates, it became quite challenging to hold Assiniboine to the commitments they had made. When I challenged a scope item that didn’t quite turn out the way it was promised on their quote, the response from Louis (the PM) was “that’s just an advertising picture, in fact I did more than I needed to without charging you extra” (!). Finally, a couple of quality issues were noted during the final job walk down - which he promised would be resolved within a day or two. As of the time of writing this review, it’s been two months with no action. Another excellent job by Mike, Michael and crew. They did a partial basement remodel including framing, drywall, electrical, priming of walls and flooring installation of our basement (approximately 1250 sq ft). They also did attic work with installing bathroom vents to the soffit, bathroom fan to our master bathroom and boxing electrical junctions to prepare for blown insulation. They also helped place a support beam for our upstairs balcony to increase safety of the structure. They did a lot of work across our whole home in a timely and professional manner. Mike was able to work with me to coordinate when the insulation crews were going to come in (we had spray foam in the basement and blown in for the attic) and not waste any time between transitions. We've worked with them before and everyone was courteous, respectful of our busy house and kept everything clean after the day was done. I'm a mother of two and left the remodeling and renovation of our Markham home of many years for after the kids are grown up. With the budget we had we received more than expected upgrades which could only be achieved through the discounts we received from the suppliers Quasar Homes introduced to us and we used their contractor rates. Quasar chaps were also very fair, while they did a great job and delivered the project to us after the 5 months we had agreed to. We have occupied the house since March 2023 and are given a 2 year warranty for all the work.
