Mavic Design did a wonderful job for us. They removed the old deck and cleaned up the area perfectly. They even swept the driveway. The new deck they installed is everything Artem said it would be. There is nothing I would change about the finished product. The only thing unfinished are the post toppers as we chose to furnish those ourselves. They were very professional and proved to be highly skilled craftsman. I would highly recommend them.

I found Renomar Inc on HomeStars, and they just completed a main bathroom, total gut renovation at my century old home. I was very impressed right from the beginning to the end. Olimpiu provided me with a reasonable quote, as well as excellent insight into some ideas and recommendations. When he discovered issues with the subfloor, he explained his concerns and gave me a quote for the additional service, respecting that the ultimate decision was mine. I chose to use my own plumbers (because I had a history with them), and provide all the main fixtures – vanity, inset medicine cabinet, tub, faucets, and toilet. I made sure all were on site before the work started which sped things up as Renomar had these items to measure and check as work progressed. The tile workmanship was meticulous, the drywall crisp and clean. The construction site was swept, contained, and tidied every evening. The entire job took 12 days and the workmanship is impressive. I would highly recommend them.

I have been self-employed for the past 15 years, fixing and maintaining cottages in Muskoka. I am reasonably priced and have experience. I would also supply references upon request. I’m an old guy that still likes to work. As my Dad would say, “ even a blind chicken finds a kernel of corn once in a while. I’ve been at this a while now and have learned a few tricks. Sal and his team are wonderfully skilled with a high attention to detail. Just as important, they are good people. One too many times, you get contractors that you wished you hadn't welcomed into your home. Definitely not the case with Sal's Renovations. From initial estimate, to job completion, they are consummate professionals. Friendly, courteous, and thoughtful. They went above and beyond in the care with which they considered materials for our job, ensuring we had a proper estimate with appropriate attention to details, and in how they handled themselves on a day to day basis in our home. Even though this job in particular was a smaller project, Sal and Arie still dedicated themselves wholeheartedly, working diligently throughout. They are the type of guys that bring your bins back to your garage, just because they happen to be there anyway, or who step in to help with a nail gun when your son inadvertently rips something off the wall unrelated to the project at hand. We hired David and Cheresh Homes to renovate our 60 year old family cottage - a 3 season dwelling built riverside on top of Canadian Shield rock in Muskoka. This was a 2 year project to renovate and update the property into a 4 season cottage. We also wished to maintain historical and legacy elements they were important to our family. Right from the start, David understood our vision and we felt comfortable with his design ideas and approach. It was important to us that he had the design build experience and expertise as a contractor to support this kind of large scale project. His pride of workmanship, creativity, attention to detail and strong relationships with local trades and contractors gave us the confidence that he was the right choice. He had genuine interest and excitement in our project and we felt immediate trust in him to make it happen. This was an extensive renovation project, taking place during the pandemic, which presented its own set of challenges. David and his team rose to the challenge and they handled our project professionally and with care. His crew and contractor tradespeople were respectful, friendly and responsive. We appreciated his suggestions and recommendations during the project. We knew he had other projects but always felt like we were his most important priority. He was always available to address our questions, help us make decisions and to offer ideas and options to save us time and money. We are beyond thrilled with the results. David and his team did a fantastic job in building us a cottage that will be enjoyed by generations of our family and friends. Embarking on a large renovation project like this is not for the faint of heart but with David and his crew on our team, we accomplished our goals and then some. David is a kind and genuine person.
