We recently used Master Homes Contracting to renovate two bathrooms. Anton came to the house to discuss the project and offer some advice as to the design aspect of what we were doing. We found him very knowledgeable, he made recommendations as to the layout and gave us a clear idea of what the project would look like when completed. We received a detailed quotation within a few days, numerous options with pricing. With some conversation we were comfortable with the quotation and agreed to move ahead. We were then introduced to Ashley who would be our design contact throughout the project. We had done the usual visits to the home stores and to be honest were a little overwhelmed, we really needed some direction and advice. Ashley made it so easy, she supplied numerous choices, with pricing, for each of the components from tile to taps, and really helped us with every selection, for us, that expertise saved weeks of wandering the aisles trying to figure out what we wanted. Once decided, Ashley ordered everything for us and had it delivered to our house. The crew showed up to start the demo on the agreed date, immediately covered my hardwood hall and stairs to avoid any damage as they removed the debris, they were careful to try to limit the dust as much as possible but by nature its a dusty job. Execution was flawless, we did have to make some decisions as to the waterproofing behind the new shower, Anton gave us three options with and actually recommended the LEAST expensive one for what we needed. We had a vacation planned that happened to fall in the middle of the project. We were so comfortable with Anton and his crew, we gave him a key, they continued working while we were away. The project was completed just as we got back, we were so pleased with the results. Both bathrooms look amazing, certainly exceeding our expectations, they even added undercabinet LED accent lighting, not included in the original quote but they thought we would like it. They were right, it added a whole spa like look to the bathroom. The project was completed a few weeks ago but I held off on my review as I knew there would be some minor call backs, there always are with any reno. The true test of a contractor is how well they handle the call backs. A flickering pot light, a sticky drawer on the vanity, they were there next day, resolved without question, we were very impressed. We did add some extras to the project as it progressed but overall they were on budget per their original quote. As a contractor Master Homes ticked all the boxes. On time, on quote, knew what they were doing, all the assistance we needed, daily updates on the project, immediate attention to the callbacks, and probably the most important factor, Trust. We will use them again for our next project without any hesitation, there are so many horror stories out there it was a pleasure and a relief to find a good honest contractor that goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the results. tl;dr I had a fantastic experience with KitchenInstallation.ca Our basement flooded in July and our tiny laundry room was the last to be restored. Given the small job, I could have built the Ikea cabinets and install them myself, but I just didnt have the motivation to finish the laundry room. KitchenInstallation.ca was recommended by someone in our community Facebook group. I reached out to KitchenInstallation.ca for a quote. Alex, the owner, asked a lot of questions about the laundry room layout and our design goals and then gave us a detailed quote to complete the work. As an aside, I have a job where it is difficult for me to answer my personal phone during work hours so Alex communicated through text to keep the project moving. He arranged for two workers to complete our laundry room; one to build the cabinets, the other to install them. They were on-time and very nice to deal with. Because it was a laundry room, I was a bit indifferent about some aspects of the installation, including the filler pieces between the cabinets and the wall; but the installers were not. The filler pieces were cut perfectly and match our wavy walls with no gaps (its an old house). If you have ever built Ikea cabinets, you know how finicky their adjustable concealed cabinet hinges can be. All cabinet doors are perfectly aligned. The installers even bundled up all the cardboard for recycling. Alex sourced an ideal sink and even found a off-cut for the countertop to save some money. The invoice matched the quote with no surprises. We are very happy with our completed laundry room. It was a fantastic experience dealing with Alex and his crew.

I added some shallow cabinets and a free-standing island to my kitchen to improve the functionality of a very small space. Joyce and the Countertop Pro team were professional and helpful right from the start! They did not require a minimum countertop surface area and had an abundance of styles to choose from - I was able to find a beautiful quartz countertop to match my natural marble tile backsplash. Installation was only days after the measurements were finalized and I am thrilled with the results. The installers were efficient, tidy and even took the time to greet my pets. Don't use these guys. They are absolutely terrible. They don't order material when the project starts, resulting in delays and then we needed to select different items due to their negligence. They fired their project manager mid-project and didn't tell us, so we had no communication or activity for weeks. After the project was complete, we had issues with the counter-top. My wife emailed and called them several times, and even emailed the owner Ramon, and still they didn't respond, despite us having a 2 yr warranty. I wish I could review the installers who came to the house separately, they did a great job overall, and we were happy with them and the final result, but the people in the office made our kitchen renovation a terrible experience. If 0 stars was an option I'd give that. The owner is a good talker. "We'll take care of you, I will handle it myself, we will make it right". All just talk. Once you leave the office you'll never hear from him again. I 100% would never recommend this company to anyone. Find another company unless you want to be frustrated throughout your entire process.Latest review:
