It was a pleasure working with Palor Contracting Group. Ivano and Lorenzo always responded promptly to questions and concerns. They were highly professional in their dealings and extremely knowledgable. For example, we had a burst pipe that was causing damage below. Our family tried to go with an unnamed general contracting company who you would hear often advertised on many radio stations. Well, the representative, not only misdiagnosed the problem, but also quoted us an outrageous amount to fix the problem. Parlor quickly sent their plumber and the job was easily fixed. We were so impressed that we decided to continue with the renovations and redo the whole master bathroom. Ivano and Lorenzo have an extensive network of experienced professional liaisons that they can call upon in order to complete the work efficiently and to a high standard. Rest assured you are in good hands with Lorenzo and Ivano.

My first interaction with Andre was very positive, he seemed very knowledgeable and asked questions about the age and history of the home. He also said he only did one project at a time, and didn't start the next one until the previous was complete to our satisfaction. This feeling did not last very long once we had paid the deposit for the renovation. The original scheduled start date was in November. In October we received an email that it was delayed until February. Actual work didn't start until mid March. We agreed at the start of the project that if he needed to stay late if he was going to waste material (like grout or cement). What happened instead was he showed up most days between 10am-1pm and stayed 6-10 hours. Halfway through the project I clarified that I only wanted him in the house between 9-6 and the extra leeway was only for special circumstances. He came on time one day and returned to arriving between 10-1 after that. When demolition started, we was surprised that the walls of the 1930's home were not drywall, and had not heard of rocklathe that the walls were actually made of. He was also surprised the tub was made of cast iron. Both of which he charged more for above the quote price and added 1 week on the 2 week project. Once the bathroom was almost done, I had messaged him to confirm I was able to use the tub which he had tested. Once it drained, I noticed the ceiling below the tub was leaking, the original pipe was held together with epoxy and had come loose from the renovation. Another added cost, and I had to replace my own ceiling, he wanted to charge more and he was behind on the next job. He also moved the bathroom light switch to inside the bathroom, which was also not tested (it turned off all lights upstairs). The light switch move was a line item in the quote and paid for, but when I told him about it he would not entertain fixing the issue. In the end I will need to change this myself, even through I have paid for it and is a line item on the "add-on" quote. Other short nitpicks: - He did not install a shower curtain rod (not specifically called out in the job, but I had assumed that would be included) - Tiles not all flush with the wall, some sticking out - Did not get the tub we wanted, apparently it was out of stock on back order (we paid him the deposit 1 year before the work started) - Shower head was not installed well, o-ring was crushed and was leaking. Luckily I was going to replace with a different head so it was an easy fix The frustrating part is the bathroom itself is well done. If the Andrei and Jessica had just given an accurate quote from the beginning and did the work they said they would it would be a 9-10 star review. They are both very personable and very good hard working people. In the end, I would have been better off with a different company who quoted higher but had explicitly called out the complexity of working on an older home and likely wouldn't have had the surprise cost.

Requested framing of ductwork and framing for an entry closet. I provided the measurements for the bifold door (30by80), despite this he made the door way for the bifold 32by82, which is too large for a standard bifold. Also he made the sides of each door way uneven for the trim to be put in, with an inch difference. The frame does not seem plum either. He told me if I have any issues to contact him and he will fix it. I did, but he did not fix it, instead he talked about having 10 years of experience. Well this doesn’t matter if it cannot be seen in the work that you do. Also note, he left a huge gap of where the popcorn ceiling meets the drywall that he put up, which is a no, no. Also cheap wood used instead of 2x4. His poor workmanship, costs me more to have his work fixed. Based on all the previous good reviews, I was hopeful he would do a great job but unfortunately he did not.

My wife and I hired D Jennings Contracting Inc. to complete a renovation project for us. Demar and the team were able to take the remaining unfinished portion of our basement and created 3 amazing individual areas for us; a beautiful 3-piece bathroom, a wonderful laundry room and an extra room which we can use as a formal office. We are so very grateful to the entire D Jennings team. Special thanks go out to Demar, Ricardo, Kimar, Ziggy, Kevin and Justin for their hard work. It was truly a pleasure working with all of them on this project. We are very happy with the results. We contracted for a concrete pad to be installed to support a hot tub. After contacting several contractors for estimates we decided that Buildlux was the right choice for us. Antonio came to look at the site and give us an estimate. He asked all of the right questions and educated us on the work that was to be done and how it would be done. He was very accommodating as we did want to make a minor change (make the pad slightly smaller after the forming was up). This was done with a smile and the assurance "it's important to me that you are happy". The people who came were kind, courteous and worked with skill and purpose. We are very pleased with the finished product and would highly recommend Buildlux for any project that you are considering.
