We also do bathroom refinishing from full bathroom remodels or shower upgrades. We are a one stop company that does all the work ourselves.

I always try to support local when I can. Unfortunately I did not complete my due diligence and that is on me. However I would like to save the next person who may be tempted to fall for the shoddy work that this Painter finally completed. Len advertised as a local family owned business that had 30 years of experience. He was quick to complete a quote for me and assured me that he had availability that had just opened up and he could complete my job in two to three weeks. This really surprised me as the three other quotes I got said it would probably be about a month before they could start and it would be a six week completion time. ( Red flag #1). The cost was reasonable and a savings of 1500 on the next closest bid. I guess you get what you pay for ( Red flag #2). My next Big Mistake was I paid in full to save another 10% and avoid the tax . I know that was foolish of me but he convinced both myself and my husband that he was an honest local small business. The job was set to start in the midst of the first heat wave of the summer. He phoned and canceled the day he was to start. I was understanding and we postponed by a few days. That was the start of 14 more cancelations over the course of the job. I was very patient and he had many excuses to cover his behind. My 3 week job took 5 months to somewhat complete. The cabinets look nice but the completion was lacking. The backsplash was crooked and we had to get him back to fix. The electric outlet s were not put back on. The silicon around the countertops is crooked. I could go on and on. I think you get the message. I feel bad for him and can't understand how he could possibly have repeat customers ( which he claims he has) I really tried to give him the benefit

Install concrete floor- 15 Sep 2025
I hired Patel Elite Construction Inc mid September to repair my basement, apply waterproof paint to the walls, and install an epoxy membrane on the floor. The initial communication was well handled and Deep, my main post of contact, was very communicative and easy to work with. The initial results appeared great. However, less than 45 days later, the epoxy has started to peal and flake. When I raised this to Deep, he replied that the moisture in the basement is causing this and there is no solution. I find this disappointing because the epoxy coating was his recommendation - if there was a moisture issue, I would have hoped that it was identified BEFORE I paid to have the floor painted. I would not recommend Patel Elite Construction as their recommendations should be heavily questioned.

Told us our bathroom renovation would take 6-8 days and it took over 3 months...with constant trade changeovers and others coming in to "look" at the job. Unfortunately we found out too late that they have no trades working directly for them and were told they scour Kijiji to find "help". Two months later and our bathroom ceiling is cracked in multiple areas due to the poor workmanship! Whenever we brought our concerns to the "project manager" he never wrote anything down or used his phone for notes. When he'd show up, if he wasn't trying to upsell us on pointless replacement ideas, he was constantly scrambling, contradicting himself/workers or apologizing. If I had a $1 for every time he would apologize, I'd probably be able to pay for getting the ceiling redone properly! The hilarious thing is that as a kiss up, we were offered 2 free shutters for our troubles and they couldn't even get that right. After the third time to correct we told them to forget it...of course they blamed the shutter company. Please do your homework thoroughly when picking a renovation company!

We had engaged with Alex in July of 2021 to help prepare drawings, designs and submissions required to obtain a building permit from the City. The scope of work was to include: - Arrange for permits on behalf of the owner - Act on behalf of the owner regarding any and all matters having to do with the work - Prepare required documentation for formal submission to city planning - If required, prepare Committee of Adjustment documentation - Prepare final working drawings needed to obtain building permit From the start of engagement there was significant delays in moving forward. Weeks at a time where there would be limited contact and lack of response by email/text/phone. We were given some reasons/excuses that delays were due to personal situations but things would be back on track once they were sorted out. Things progressed although slowly. When receiving drawing drafts and reviewing them as well as providing back comments to update, the time in between revisions took between a few days to a few weeks. The final drawings were completed in Oct approx 3 months after engagement. There were also things we had to ask for twice, that he said was changed but then the drawings were not actually updated. Not to mention trying to get the files sent to us were a pain as well as they always seemed to get "stuck in my outbox". We were told the building permit application went in promptly thereafter but did not receive anything further until the end December - for an authorization form with the city which was provided back from us Jan 2nd, 2022. Later we found out the City only received the permit application on Feb 16th. They had committed to provide comments back before End of March, and they did. It has now been almost 2 months since then and we cannot get a hold of Alex to even let us know what needs to be done next. Many many calls and emails and texts have been sent but he is unresponsive. The architectural work was sub-contracted by Alex to someone, who was on the permit application, and in communicating with them it seems Alex is not even responding back to his own sub-contract trade either. Our payment agreement specified 50% up front, balance on completion of permit ready drawings. Drawings which we did receive, therefore payment has been made in full. However, we have no permit, and are stuck without the ability to keep moving forward. The Job that we hired Balmbuilt for was to obtain the building permits based on the design specification. This has not been completed. A complaint to the BBB has already been submitted as well. Next step will be to file a claim in SCC. Terrible experience. Our expectations are that professionals will deliver to their word, and if for any reason they cannot that there be some acknowledgement and compensation.

At first seemed professional. they helped move some additional garbage furniture out and helped move the flooring that was delivered outside the building in. We compensated them fairly for this ($100 cash). During the job they consistently left the door open after being asked politely to keep it closed when not using balcony. Ended up with hoards of flies we had to kill. Additionally found one guy sitting on our couch in his work clothes after one working day. They did a decent job in the main areas but corner work and edges were done very poorly to which we brought it up and they said they see no issue or tried to bend it like its supposed to look like that… it wasnt. We are two young adult females and definitely felt our naivety was taken advantage of. They also broke a transition strip and asked us to pay for a new one for them to replace then failed to show up for the appointment to repair them without notice. Hopefully they learn from this experience but I hope no one else suffers

If I could give zero stars, I would. Brandon first gave me an estimate, but after signing the contract he doubled the price. He did not respect the agreement, left the work incomplete, and even came back to remove the rails afterwards. Instead of resolving the problem professionally, he became aggressive and threatening in his messages. This experience was stressful and unacceptable. Very unprofessional — I strongly do not recommend hiring him

This comapny was hired by a neighbour to do a neighbourhood fence! Extremely poor communication, and was not made aware our yards would be sitting open for 4 weeks after posts went in until finally returning to do fence boards. Paid additional $10 per section for removal of old boards and cement only have dumped in front of house and have to ask for days to come back THEN weeks later found they had buried cement from posts in my garden and took 2 months to return to pick up. And finally the lack of professionalism in dealing with Mohammed was astounding to the point of texting me threats about "wanting his money and to not start a problem for him and for me" . Would never recommend this company!!!
