We first called Fairney and Sons in April, 2024 regarding a small flood at the front of our basement. Bill arrived very promptly and gave us his verdict on the probable cause. We have had a fair amount of work done to address this issue a few years ago, but were never really satisfied with the company that we used. After some extensive discussion and consultation, we decided to go along with Bill's recommendations. The work was completed within a matter of a few days. The tradesmen were always on time, careful about clean up, polite and friendly. We were more than satisfied and went ahead with plans to renovate our bathroom sometime in November, using Fairney and Sons people. In July we found that we had more water in our basement. But this time at the back of the house, again in an area that had supposedly been sealed by the same, unnamed company that we had the misfortune to use before. We called Bill and he arrived promptly and arranged for work to proceed to solve this new issue. Unfortunately, our wooden deck had to be removed in order for the work to be completed on the back wall. Fairney and Sons came through with an excellent team of tradesmen and build us a lovely new deck as well as finally solving our basement water problems. In August we were faced with another water issue. Our bathroom began leaking water into our kitchen which we had renovated a few years ago at some considerable cost. Needless to say, we called Bill back and asked if he might move our bathroom renovation forward. He rearranged some of his work teams schedules and had a crew in by early October. We worked closely with Adam and Trevor as they guided us through the various stages of the transformation. Plumbers and tilers came by, all when they were scheduled to arrive. The work was completed efficiently and expertly. Everybody that we met that was associated with Fairney and Sons was very professional, respectful and a delight to have in our house. As part of the bathroom renovation, a vent had to be hooked up through our roof. Upon inspection it was pointed out that our chimney was in sore need of repair. We already knew about this and asked if Fairney and Sons could solve that problem as well, which, of course they could and did. This had been a bad summer for us, in terms of household distress. However, we feel very fortunate that we answered that flyer that was dropped in our mailbox all those months ago. Everybody associated with this company is reliable, friendly and professional. We certainly hope that we don't need their services in the future, but if we do, they will get the call. We highly recommend Fairney and Sons Ltd. for all of your home repair needs. I needed venting put in for a kitchen hood - including ducting, a new hole for venting at the side of the house, cutting cabinets, and reconfiguring my existing hood from recirculating to outside venting. From the first interaction with Vince to scope out the job to Joe and Dmitri completing the job, the Kitchen and Bath guys demonstrated professionalism and pride in doing the job right. Vince took the time to explain his proposed approach, his reasoning, and the potential risks and plan B. Dmitri and Joe showed up on time, were very personable, did a great job, followed by a high quality clean up. Very pleased with the whole experience, and would definitely do business with them again.

We’re extremely happy with our laundry renovation from start to finish. The project was well organized and the final result was exactly what we asked for. The new flooring looks fantastic and the cabinets are very functional with great storage. Every detail was handled with care, and the workmanship really shows. Overall, this was a successful project, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend George and his team to anyone considering a renovation.

Das was very professional in his service. His main concept is minimal damage to the home structure and doing things the right way. I had the privilege of working with DWC General Contracting during my kitchen and laundry room restructuring / remodelling. The owner of the company (Donovan) and his designer came out for a consultation to review the job. I was annoyed when they were 20 minutes late as I had a virtual work meeting to attend. During the initial consultation, Donovan provided some great ideas but ideas come with a cost and I was on a budget. My original plan was to change the builder cabinet doors and replace the handles. This plan changed as I started seeing the vision Donovan had for the space. My kitchen is 10ft in height and did not have uppers. I should be ashamed to say that I had no idea what uppers were, but after viewing pictures of Donovans past projects I saw the benefit in filling the unused space. During our second meeting the idea of including a side by side fridge was presented. I did not believe this style of fridge would fit the space I had. Donovan and his designer surprised me with a 3D digital drawing of my kitchen on their iPad. I was blown away with the concept, but still considering the cost of all these changes. In order for the fridge to fit, it would need to be relocated and the laundry room which Im not particularly fond of would also need a face lift. The kitchen drawing also provided changes to my laundry room and butler area. By pushing the laundry room wall back 6inches it would accommodate the side by side fridge with the water line being installed. Losing space was my next question and thats when the butler area idea was introduced. Donovan asked me how much I enjoyed doing laundry and spending time in the laundry room. I must say doing laundry is a chore I can do without. The suggestion of pushing the other wall from the laundry room which backs on to the butler area 16 inches would allow for additional cabinets to be installed. This job was looking extremely expensive but also extremely attractive. My eyes got bigger than my pocket and I told Donovan I was ready to proceed with the work. After years of a global pandemic and working from home, I was in need of an environmental change. The deposit structure was fair and the start date was scheduled three weeks later. My luck there were minor structural changes along the way but Donovan worked with me to keep the cost as low as possible. The water line became an issue as my basement was completed. Donovans team of workers were able to cut specific area of my basement ceiling to account for plumbing and the new gas line for a gas stove I never thought I would want. The job took a little longer than expected but I was extremely happy with the end result. The DWC team were all professional, courtious and friendly towards my daughter who would find herself getting in their way at times. Donovan stated he was a father and understood. When Donovan asked if I would provide a review I gladly accepted. He may have been late the first time, but he ended everything perfectly. Thanks to DWC I have an entire new kitchen, laundry room and butler area. Upon completion of the job Donovan had a team of two staff clean the main floor and basement as a thank you for employing them. Thank you DWC and I look forward to my next project. Hopefully next time youll show up on time the first time.

We've not hired a contractor before, so the process of choosing the right one was daunting. We read the positive reviews about Level Q Renovation and Design, and heard about them from our neighbours, before choosing this team for our bathroom renovation. Good reports are one thing, but what we appreciated most upon meeting Ehab and his team, was we felt comfortable with them as they worked. During the three week renovation, each member of the team was respectful, quiet, clean in their work, and very efficient. We felt safe to have them here, and were even able to leave the house when needed, without worry. The job began and ended on time, at the cost that was quoted. Our new bathroom is absolutely beautiful and functions very well! The owner, Ehab, and crew members Nasser and Ahmed are truly professionals in their countenance and in their work. Suffice to say, we have already recommended Level Q to our friends!

Hired X & H Construction thru a big box stores installation services because of their very competitive and fair pricing, which included a $2000 discount. The work performed was to create a powder room in a bedroom, remove old copper piping to be replaced by PVC and to replace a mouldy ceiling in another bathroom. The work was completed in 3 days and we couldnt be happier with the outcome. There was a lot of messages going back and forth as we had plenty of questions but Carrie Who is the project coordinator was very helpful every step of the way. All in all, we are very pleased with how the powder room looks and operates. Their team was very professional and courteous. Would absolutely hire them again for future porjects! Great work X&H team!
