We highly recommend Daniel and his team. Many people in Niagara region can relate to the problems of finding a decent contractor. We moved here during COVID and hired an inside contractor, which gave us endless headaches and kept putting us off in finishing the job for over two and a half grueling years and way over budget. That's why we were really particular in choosing a contractor to finish up our outdoor space. We wanted someone who would follow building codes to the letter (this is important, and we had another guy walk away when he found out we wanted this project to pass all inspections). We found Daniel through Home Depot's referral service. He came over in Fall 2023 and provided us with a thorough quote, answering all of our questions after reviewing our plans. Put it this way: We had another contractor who showed up but never sent us a quote afterward. Daniel also has great customer references. We checked them all, and they're all as happy as we are. Daniel and his team started work in March 2024, and he completed the job on days, evenings, and even the Easter weekend when his schedule permitted. The project ran a bit over budget, but that's to be expected, and the results speak for themselves. Hopefully, we will work together again on a fence sometime in 2025.

Kasty Landscape Group is a company focused on unique design and attention to detail. Once we agree on this plan, we work diligently to come up with the most cost-effective or lavish space keeping in mind budget, and other constraints. Since every job is different, every approach with a customer is unique and crafted just for them. This one on one approach is what leads to having an amazing rapport with our clients and constructing unique and beautiful outdoor spaces that will provide enjoyment for years to come.
Alex did a good job at the design (which was not to scale) and all the other contractors were booked so we decided to proceed with Kasty as he was the only one available and we could use the space for the tail end of the 2020 summer. Despite hearing some warning from others that a 27 year old who claims to have lots of experience and an engineering background would be an issue, we proceed with the project. Things started great and was pleased with the team and work however about halfway through the project we noticed things were being rushed and issues were starting to appear. Typical responses like “we stand behind our work” and “everything is covered under warranty” etc. is what we heard. As we approached the end of the project Alex provided the “Final Invoice” and to let him know if we had any questions. We had done a walkthrough of the front and back and made notes of the parts of the job we were not happy with and some areas where we were over charged. Alex was not happy with the list and became very defensive however after lots of back and forth agreed to a take it or leave it offer from Alex in which we agreed to reduce the final price by $2,235 (~1.8% of the total cost). We took the take it or leave it offer and made the payment in full and ensured Alex signed the final invoice confirming it was paid in full and we moved on. Shortly after this is where things changed... There was a rebate promotion with the stone manufacturer which we were trying to claim however the stone manufacturer responded that we did not qualify as our project was not paid in full. After reaching out to Alex we were told “Not going to go over and above for someone who did this to me” and that “He didn’t agree because he was happy about the conversation” and “Like I said you have a 3 year warranty regardless of how I feel. I put the needs of my work before mine”. 2 month later the cedar trees that Alex planted died. I was told there was a warranty with the nursery and if I got the irrigation system that warranty would be extended (which I did). However, Alex has ignored our requests and those dead cedars have not been replaced. After the winter we noticed lots of cracks, chips and crumbling stone and reached out to the stone manufacturer (as we had a lifetime warranty on the stone). However, received the same response that the contractor (Alex) indicated the project was not paid in full. So finally I escalated the issue to the President of the stone manufacturer and requested an investigation, after providing copies of the emails from Alex and the signed invoice confirming it was paid in full they honored the warranty and also provided me with the rebate that was previously declined. They mentioned they take these matters very seriously and provided a list of approved contractors who would repair the manufacturing defects and the stones that have cracked due to poor workmanship (which is normally not covered). Alex did come by after to see the cracks as he was even surprised how bad the issue was awhen he saw the pics but after some back and forth regarding the quality of the job was told “You can use the money you shorted me to hire someone to fix the work. You wouldn’t want someone who had bad workmanship to fix your yard yea? No one believes a single bad review saying I didn’t honor a warranty, especially when you didn’t pay your bill in full. And I will make sure everyone knows that” which he did in his responses. So I will somewhat agree with his response on the Google Review as we did not pay the “Final Invoice” as we agreed on a “Revised Final Invoice” which was paid in full and signed by Alex. Also, Alex mentioned they did everything they could to keep us happy, so I have uploaded some pictures of what things look like after he tried everything to make us happy (imagine what it looked like before). The whole team was professional and maintained communication from start to finish of the project. We had flood damage requiring replacement of drywall, taping, repainting. The flooring and stairs were also replaced as well as the doors and trim. Options were provided throughout to match budget and design choices and the final product matched what was promised. In the end we are very happy with all the work and thankful for the transparency and help along the way. DO NOT HIRE. Agreed to work we needed done: pull up all weeds, spread seed on sparse areas, clean & expand garden, put down weed killing mesh, cover with mulch. Kept mentioning a sick family member & I asked if this would be an issue. He guaranteed no as it was a “one day job”. That was over 3 weeks ago. Didn’t pull a single weed. Said he’d come back, spread weed killer and pull what was left. Never came back. Took all my money. Called him. Texted 2 more times. Said he’d be back this week. I see him posting about other work but he hasn’t been back. No weeds pulled. The grass seed he spread sprouted clover and nothing else (which when I took pictures and sent to him he said he’d talk to me about it when he came back). The garden hasn’t been cleared properly (said he needed proper tools), the paper he put down already has weeds growing through it. No mulch. He even left all the rubbish lying around. Like literally left mid job and never came back. Stay away. Hire a professional.

I needed a banister and handrails in a tight stairwell to a third floor converted attic, and needed it quickly. Redwin offered the most competitive price and were able to custom make a system which we could remove if we need to bring large furniture down the stairwell (which would otherwise be impossible with a banister in the already tight staircase). They did not push on any up selling, did exactly what we wanted, got to work quickly after the quote, and cleaned up when they were done. All in all a great experience. I will call the.
