We had the exterior stucco on a 20 foot chimney replaced by Adastra with fibreglass reinforced stucco. This is much better than the original work which was failing badly. Adastra also noticed that there were other cracks on some of the other chimneys and offered to repair these too at no charge. I would highly recommend Adastra. The experience we had was absolutely terrible! We DO NOT recommend this company. We've spent over $50,000 and still have an incomplete kitchen. We told Dan at Caledon Renovations, from the very beginning, that we needed the renovation completed as quickly as possible to sell and relocate for work. Dan told us that he could complete the work in 4 weeks. On June 3rd, 2024, demolition began on our whole main floor. Once demolition was complete, no one showed up for 2 weeks. We were constantly told there were issues sourcing product, finally, when he showed up with the floor tile, it was not what we had picked but decided to continue anyway to speed up the renovation. It is now August 7th and it still not done. There were several quality issues that were addressed several times and Dan offered to come back to fix these issues for a 3rd time - we declined. The final straw was when we had a subcontractor show up at our house demanding money or he would place a lean on our house. After speaking to this gentleman, we found out that Dan had not paid him and said it was because we owed money - we were paid up to date. When we told Dan we do not want to work with him because of the trouble he has caused, he offered a refund of $1200 for upper kitchen cabinet doors. Even though we were not satisfied with the refund amount, we agreed. We told him to pick up his sign from our home and give us the refund. That was 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from him. I highly recommend Handyman Kwik Solutions (Sam and his team) after they just finished three separate jobs: 1) for a backyard studio-shed I had built several years ago, fixing some poor framing from the previous contractor, insulating, and drywalling; 2) working with an electrician to excavate a trench (including through concrete) from house to shed for an 100 amp electrical pipe; and 3) adding flashing on all sides of the studio-shed. All work was done to a very high, fully professional standard. Everything was done as discussed -- with added touches that Sam's conscientious professionalism told him needed to be done for him to feel satisfied with the work (notably partially rebuilding one storage loft area and the very finicky, expert drywalling of it and another storage loft). As a bonus, the time between quoting and doing the work was very quick -- Sam fit our fairly small job (about a week of work) before another major job was due to start. Allick built a tunnel for my cats to move from a window cat door to their catio on the patio. He used materials I had on hand and improved on my original idea to make the setup safer for both me and my cats. He was prompt and finished the job on time and on budget. There were no hidden costs or surprises, and he cleaned up the area before leaving. I would hire Al again.
