I can only comment on our experience and it is as follows. Our first impressions of the owners were very good. They assured us that they were open, honest and plentiful with communication. They seemed to understand that we had a budget that we needed to stick with and they had no real concerns with the scope of work for our budget. They were going to put a quotation together for demolition and reconstruction of our house. By starting in late August, Transform believed they could be completed before our December 18th requested completion date. Everything was going great, we were excited to get our custom cabinets ...build by *** personally as indicated on their website. Heck their website even points out that: ...custom cabinetry in Calgary can increase your home value. They usually fit better in your home and offer a more unique and personal feeling that manufactured cabinets dont offer.". We were in luck! None of those lousy manufactured cabinets used by other renovators. We were still in the demolition phase when we became concerned with a lack of communication and building schedule. We only ever received 1 building schedule that covered 2 months of a 4 1/2 month renovation. From August 9th, to October 26th (11 weeks) they only managed to complete demolition and 12 work days according to their building schedule. When we requested a pause in construction and a statement of account, they walked away from our project with no notification until we heard from their lawyer and received a lien against our house. During demolition/construction when we requested more communication and weekly onsite meetings we were told No news is good news and never got weekly meetings or more communication. Often our emails went days unanswered and requests for more information and clarification were met with snarky replys. We were told to just trust them and they would let us know if there were any problems. As Transforms ...fixed and guaranteed price (according to their website) continued to climb we soon learned quotes remain the same but change orders drive up the price dramatically. Funny that all the change orders were always out of scope in their favour. Soon we needed to de-scope our entire basement (which was now demolished) and our master bedroom cabinets. At this point we were becoming very nervous and afraid. We started to look much closer at the quotation and contract presented to us. Our contract had a 1 year warranty but their website had a 2 year warranty documented? They even have a PDF download of their 2 year warranty. Weird. In our quotation it indicates: - supply and install new custom cabinets in the kitchen, laundry and all bathrooms, cabinets as per layout and design. We then soon learned custom cabinets by their in-house cabinet maker ACTUALLY means cabinet doors, drawer fronts, as well as the drawer boxes are OUTSOURCED to a different cabinet manufacturer. This is confusing as their website indicates: As a certified journeyman cabinetmaker, all custom cabinetry requests are built by *** personally. Their website also specifies: "Our in-house cabinet maker sources local materials and personally handcraft every piece with pride and precision." In an email we received from Transform it indicates: *** is not only the contractor, but a journeyman cabinet maker that custom builds to fit your needs. We found it interesting that personally handcrafted custom pieces from Transform came from somewhere else. To date we have paid Transform $184,762.97 CDN and they never got so far as to have a final rough-in inspection for electrical nor plumbing/mechanical. Framing required from the engineering report has not been completed as required. I have 2 used toilets sitting on my front driveway (since August) and refuse left in my yard that never made it into the renovation bin Transform removed. I have attached pictures to show you what almost $185,000 will get you from Transform. I will leave it up to you to decide if another renovator could do better.

I chose Roots N Rubble Contracting Company to fix (resurface) the concrete steps outside my house. However, the next day when the concrete had dried up, I noticed that there were many tiny cracks everywhere and besides, the reworked surface was very rough and even the color was not consistent. In short, it was a total failure. As a result, I had to get another contractor to do the job properly.

Fethi was great to deal with and did a good job with the dismantling of the furniture. The reason for the 4 stars is that he promised to come by 8:30am but came only at 10:15am, with no communication about the delay, till I messaged to check.

Following the re-landscaping of our backyard in 2023, Dutch Style returned to re-do the front of the house. This included a portico (roof extension over the front door), garden, lights, driveway, front and side entry steps, garden plantings, and irrigation. The change to the house is remarkable; day or night. Again it was a pleasure to work with Susan, Adam, A.J. and Jack. Great communication from RWF Custom Contracting, from the get to go they were quick to respond, ask the right questions, give detailed answers and follow up when they said they would. I hired them to remove 3 bifold doors with install hinged doors. They did all the work outlined in the scope, on time and as discussed in budget. Polite. Professional. Clean. I would absolutely recommend working with RWF and will be using them on future projects.

D & S Renovations completed my much needed basement renovations due to the floods of 2023. I was able to have open communication on a daily basis. Therefore I knew where the project was at and when to expect trade individuals into my home. They were very flexible with adjustments I requested and let me know of any additional safety issues they discovered along the way. Was able to stay on projected budget which was very important to me. Any deficiencies I questioned were promptly looked into and amended accordingly. Lastly, I am so happy to have my basement back and I am beyond happy with the final outcome!

New install here...fence looks great. The three installers had the system worked out. Just not happy with the way one handled the panels and planks. He put them down with such a loud bang that for sure the bottom one was damaged. We had to call them back to replace one whole panel already. We found another damage later and now are not sure if we should call them again! This fence was not cheap. With this kind of money, customers expect care...at least. Other than this, everything unfolded smoothly and installers were friendly.

This was a disappointing experience. The first problem was that they underestimated how long it would take to do the job. In fairness, the owner had a vehicle breakdown and he lost a day to work. We had a rush job that needed to be done because we were listing our house. He sent someone with no experience to do the job. He wanted us to allow the person to work in our home until 11pm. A lot of back and forth until he agreed to come the next day to finish the job. The job did get finished but the quality was poor and there was a lot of clean up that we ended up doing. Nice guy but seems he takes on too many jobs and cant deliver on his committed completion dates.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ – Timber Peak Review Timber Peak built a 16' x 16' shed in my backyard and went above and beyond. The foundation and floor are incredibly solid — built strong enough it feels like it could support a semi-truck. Their craftsmanship and attention to detail really stood out. We originally planned a different type of siding, but they explained it would be more expensive and require ongoing maintenance. The siding they recommended was more affordable and low-maintenance, and I’m glad I trusted their advice. They fit my project between bigger jobs but still finished on time. Even in freezing weather they showed up. I lit a fire barrel to help keep them warm, and they stayed positive and hardworking. A few small issues came up, and they corrected everything immediately. I’m very satisfied — and honestly, my shed looks way better than the one on the other side of the fence! Highly recommend.
