Hi there, my name is Allan Risk and I’m a carpenter by trade with over 15 years experience. I owned and operated a larger company in Toronto for six years building custom homes and mid rise wood frame buildings. Recently I have returned home to Peterborough and downsized to take on both small and big projects. I have a good crew of guys learning the trade working for me, and enjoy everything from new construction to renovations. Structural framing and custom carpentry are what I’ve made my name on, however I have lots of experience in both interior and exterior finish carpentry. As the owner of the company, Shawn De Taeye was trained by his father in basement waterproofing and general construction and went on to become a certified carpenter. His father, Rudy, operated his business for decades with the philosophy of providing excellent customer service and operating with a high ethical standard. Unfortunately, his father passed away in 2014, but the lessons Shawn was taught by his father still guide how he operates his business to this day.
