The experience we had was absolutely terrible! We DO NOT recommend this company. We've spent over $50,000 and still have an incomplete kitchen. We told Dan at Caledon Renovations, from the very beginning, that we needed the renovation completed as quickly as possible to sell and relocate for work. Dan told us that he could complete the work in 4 weeks. On June 3rd, 2024, demolition began on our whole main floor. Once demolition was complete, no one showed up for 2 weeks. We were constantly told there were issues sourcing product, finally, when he showed up with the floor tile, it was not what we had picked but decided to continue anyway to speed up the renovation. It is now August 7th and it still not done. There were several quality issues that were addressed several times and Dan offered to come back to fix these issues for a 3rd time - we declined. The final straw was when we had a subcontractor show up at our house demanding money or he would place a lean on our house. After speaking to this gentleman, we found out that Dan had not paid him and said it was because we owed money - we were paid up to date. When we told Dan we do not want to work with him because of the trouble he has caused, he offered a refund of $1200 for upper kitchen cabinet doors. Even though we were not satisfied with the refund amount, we agreed. We told him to pick up his sign from our home and give us the refund. That was 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from him. We now have to hire another contractor to finish the renovation which is going to cost us more money and time.

Gabe, was on time and on budget. He set out clear expectations of the project and delivered on each of them in a timely manor. He does most of the work himself, so he never lost days waiting for others to be able to make it. He stressed the details right down to the last minute of the project. But the best part of the reno was his system for removing garbage daily so we never had a big mess to deal with. The entire job site was clean and organized.

Interior painting- 13 Jul 2025
We were extremely pleased with the work done by AMV contractors. They fixed an exterior wall that was crumbling away, they got an electrician in the pot in pot lights and add a fan upstairs. Then they painted our hallways, taking care to use a primer to seal the 25 year old oil/latex issues we were having and give us a nice bright hallway again. We will definitely be using them again in the future and highly recommend their work.

Install or renovate stairs- 12 Sep 2025
We needed a second railing installed quickly on both sets of stairs in our home. I am having knee surgery in a week and it was recommended to have railings on both sides of the stairs. Dairon came to the home the next day, understood the requirement, provided alternatives, took the measurements and provided the quote the next day. It was installed today and Dairon and his brother were fantastic. Cleaned up the mess, very efficient, and extremely personable. It was a pleasure to deal with Dairon from Iron & Glass Designs.

Needed to remove a concrete curb, Jonathan and his crew were able to come onsite the following day, assess the work and provide a great rate compared to other contractors. The following day they not only completed the work within 3 hours, but also poured concrete to smooth out the surfaces. They were kind, professional and very efficient - would definitely recommend!

After hearing a lot of horror stories about contractors who take advantage of their clients, we were skeptical about hiring any contractor to get our kitchen renovated. My brother-in-law suggested we give Josh from Level Custom Build a call, as he knew them well. It turned out to be the best decision we made. We werent sure about what we wanted; we only knew we wanted a modern functional kitchen. On our first visit with Josh, he took the time to explain all the details to us. He set our expectations for what they were able to do and what was possible. He addressed all our questions and concerns. Here is a team that is extremely skilled, very punctual, clean, pays attention to details, very patient to our numerous changes, provides excellent quality of work, respects our home and took measures to make sure not to damage anything. They take pride in what they do and not just treat you like a number. I was extremely impressed with the app they provided us. This app provides information on dates, what is scheduled when, costs, due dates and pictures everyday of what was completed. Now that to me is truly impressive as it shows how organized and committed, they are towards their clients. We love what they have done with our Kitchen and dining room. Thank you, Al, Josh, Kevin, Jamal and the rest of the team. You guys gave us our Dream Kitchen.
