I live in a semi-detached bungalow and went with the previous landlord of the attached property to put a new roof on back in 2008. That roofer racked the roof (installed vertically instead of the correct step method) and ruined the 30+ year warranty of architectural shingles with an incorrect installation. The roof only lasted 16 years. They weren't seen or heard of again. I ended up with shingles blowing off and asphalt flaking and going in the downspout which are sure signs of needing a new roof. I chose my own roofer and went alone this time to research a good company for my half. After getting 3 quotes and interviewing the roofers I found one of the best in Mississauga, Breno Roofing. What a great company to work with. I let them know exactly what I wanted for shingles and accessories. Norbert patiently answered all my many question, supplied a copy of their insurance, WSIB, as well as a large list of addresses of their references. The quote was reasonable and in range for what I wanted. Norbert knew I was a Senior who was burned by the last roofer, and his crew provided pictures of every step they made up on the roof to set my mind at ease and ensure me that all was done correctly. Tonyo and the crew really did a fantastic job. Not only did I get a beautiful new roof, everything was left clean and neat, and when excess shingles bundles were left over, they came by to pick them up so I didnt have to worry about getting rid of them myself. Its not an easy task to find an honest, reputable roofer these days, but I lucked in with this company. I would highly recommend them. The price here reflects pre-HST. The cost was well worth it. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Beware of the cheap guys who are here today and gone tomorrow. You'll regret it in the long run.

We recently used Master Homes Contracting to renovate two bathrooms. Anton came to the house to discuss the project and offer some advice as to the design aspect of what we were doing. We found him very knowledgeable, he made recommendations as to the layout and gave us a clear idea of what the project would look like when completed. We received a detailed quotation within a few days, numerous options with pricing. With some conversation we were comfortable with the quotation and agreed to move ahead. We were then introduced to Ashley who would be our design contact throughout the project. We had done the usual visits to the home stores and to be honest were a little overwhelmed, we really needed some direction and advice. Ashley made it so easy, she supplied numerous choices, with pricing, for each of the components from tile to taps, and really helped us with every selection, for us, that expertise saved weeks of wandering the aisles trying to figure out what we wanted. Once decided, Ashley ordered everything for us and had it delivered to our house. The crew showed up to start the demo on the agreed date, immediately covered my hardwood hall and stairs to avoid any damage as they removed the debris, they were careful to try to limit the dust as much as possible but by nature its a dusty job. Execution was flawless, we did have to make some decisions as to the waterproofing behind the new shower, Anton gave us three options with and actually recommended the LEAST expensive one for what we needed. We had a vacation planned that happened to fall in the middle of the project. We were so comfortable with Anton and his crew, we gave him a key, they continued working while we were away. The project was completed just as we got back, we were so pleased with the results. Both bathrooms look amazing, certainly exceeding our expectations, they even added undercabinet LED accent lighting, not included in the original quote but they thought we would like it. They were right, it added a whole spa like look to the bathroom. The project was completed a few weeks ago but I held off on my review as I knew there would be some minor call backs, there always are with any reno. The true test of a contractor is how well they handle the call backs. A flickering pot light, a sticky drawer on the vanity, they were there next day, resolved without question, we were very impressed. We did add some extras to the project as it progressed but overall they were on budget per their original quote. As a contractor Master Homes ticked all the boxes. On time, on quote, knew what they were doing, all the assistance we needed, daily updates on the project, immediate attention to the callbacks, and probably the most important factor, Trust. We will use them again for our next project without any hesitation, there are so many horror stories out there it was a pleasure and a relief to find a good honest contractor that goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the results. Backyard butchered by Astrero General Services I hired Michael Astrero based on his great reviews. I asked for 3 simple fixes: lower my backyard steps to code, level a sloped area and reduce a fence gap. Instead, he did whatever he wanted and left my yard a disaster. He stained and splashed cement all over my best stone slabs that were not to be touched, broke several stones while forcing them into place, installed broken pieces, and painted the stairs bleck to cover tons of glue and cement he used, when I asked for natural stone. Cemente and stain was spashed on my new fence and decorative stones were ruined. I paid $ 5,821.98 including the extra materials he damaged, and he refused to give me the receips. I felt pressured and intimidated throughout. My backyard now needs a full redo. This was not professional work. I'm persuing legal action and want others to be warned. He completely miss represented his abilities and should not be doing masony work.

George from Restoration Express has been a huge help in finding the source of leak in my home that I've been dealing with for the past year. I've had countless number of people visiting to investigate the leak and he was the only one to pin-point and identify the issue.
