Mike completed a number of different tasks and did a really great job. He looked at any issues and figured out possible solutions before starting the job. Based on my previous experience, in my opinion, this is very important and needs to be highlighted as it differentiates an excellent contractor from the rest. It should be noted that he is a punctual, hard worker who cares about his work. He has earned our trust. We are in process of planning additional renovations to the home and it is our intention for Mike to be part of the design and planning stage, in addition to being the main contractor to complete the renovations. We look forward to working with Mike in the future.

We have lived in our 90 year old house for 9 years and have renovated various parts of our home throughout those years. During that time we have used 3 different window/door companies and have not had the best experiences each time. This was company number 4 for this round of renos and they exceeded all our expectations. It was a small project in a very tight timeline and yet Oro Windows and Doors was able to accommodate us; making our reno on schedule! The install team was flawless and the rep was awesome. We now have a window and door company we can recommend and use again!

Ivan is a contractor who takes pride in their work. I recently hired him to build a custom closet, install a door, and construct an acoustic soundproof wall—and we are very happy with the results. Ivan has great attention to detail, and makes sure the finishing is perfect. The closet looks like it was part of the original floor plan. He also has excellent communication and flexibility, he kept me updated every step of the way, explained his process, and was always available to answer questions. Finally, he treated our home with respect and finished the project on schedule.

We contacted Filadelfia after working with three other contractors we weren't satisfied with. (The first one, a kitchen reno, cut all the ground wires during his install - no idea why. We found out a year later and had to rewire the kitchen. The second turned a month-long job into a 6 month saga. The third built a deck that we had to have fixed only a year later.) Needless to say, I was cautious. You can tell Rodney and his team were going to be different from the second you meet them. People of a certain age will understand what I mean when I say they are about the 'old school' service: They did exactly what they said they were going to do. They quoted and stuck to the quote. They kept their word. They did good work. They were respectful of the neighbours. They finished earlier than they promised. The whole package. Whereas other contractors would send one or two people, disappear for a few days, and then get back to it, there were usually 3 to 6 people from the Filadelfia team onsite the entire time. They wanted to get the job done - and done well - and get on to the next one. That's how I work, and I appreciate it in others. We have at least 4 more jobs to do, and we'll call Rodney for all of them.

Repair or maintain roof or gutter- 4 Nov 2025
A bit ambivalent here. Hired Shane to fix my roof, which out of fairness he did. Problem is that he also damaged my deck and then ghosted me. It's been about three months of a damaged deck with vague and periodic promises about fixing it. A bit of a frustrating experience. So I guess really, just be really careful to make sure that any extra damage is taken care of before you pay.

We are very happy with the work. The job was completed in the agreed timeframe, to a very high standard. When unexpected conditions were found, which is not surprising in our old house, they clearly communicated the options for dealing with the situation. The final bill was actually lower than the estimate due to changes in the scope of work. The two workers, Ramin and Hossein, were pleasant, polite and professional to deal with and clearly explained everything. They documented the work at every stage with photos. They were careful about protecting the floors and cleaned up afterwards. We will definitely hire them again if we have another job.
