Liz and her team from GTA kitchen did an outstanding job on our kitchen renovation recently. It was truly a pleasure to work with Liz. She is an excellent listener who puts her heart and soul into the design and smooth and professional execution of all aspects of the project. Her expert advice and suggestions with the design turned our outdated L-shape kitchen into a high-end kitchen with a beautiful and super functional island, opening up our family room by extending kitchen cabinets seamlessly on the TV area with gorgeous bookshelves in the family room. Liz and her team also did an excellent job at removing our popcorn ceiling. Sal and his team are wonderfully skilled with a high attention to detail. Just as important, they are good people. One too many times, you get contractors that you wished you hadn't welcomed into your home. Definitely not the case with Sal's Renovations. They went above and beyond in the care with which they considered materials for our job, ensuring we had a proper estimate with appropriate attention to details, and in how they handled themselves on a day to day basis in our home. Ivan from Saber Quartz & Granite did an amazing job in replacing our kitchen countertop, which had cracked, was repaired but cracked again and became worse. He recommended using a remnant of a larger piece of quartz in order to keep costs down. They did an excellent job installing and were very easy and cordial to work with. There were no surprise costs and we are very satisfied with the outcome. I recommend them without hesitation.

The existing hole in my granite countertop was too small for the new sink. These guys figured out exactly what was needed to fit it, measured and cut a wider hole to accommodate the replacement sink. They took the time to cover everything and even though it was a very difficult and messy job, having them do the cutting was totally worth it. They made sure I was happy with the job. I chose Roots N Rubble Contracting Company to fix (resurface) the concrete steps outside my house. However, the next day when the concrete had dried up, I noticed that there were many tiny cracks everywhere and besides, the reworked surface was very rough and even the color was not consistent. In short, it was a total failure. We called builtitup to help us with a basement leak. Whenever it would rain wed get a ton of water in our cold room that would then flow through the rest of the basement and ruined some of our laminate floors. Micael discussed multiple options gave us the pros and cons of each and the cost and left it up to us to decide. He was so patient with all of our questions and finished the job so quickly before more water damage could occur. In the end we went with a French drain which we were comfortable with price wise. Micael and his team came and installed the French drain within 2 days and even followed up with me the next time it rained to confirm all was well and no water was coming in. Backyard butchered by Astrero General Services I hired Michael Astrero based on his great reviews. I asked for 3 simple fixes: lower my backyard steps to code, level a sloped area and reduce a fence gap. Instead, he did whatever he wanted and left my yard a disaster. He stained and splashed cement all over my best stone slabs that were not to be touched, broke several stones while forcing them into place, installed broken pieces, and painted the stairs bleck to cover tons of glue and cement he used, when I asked for natural stone. Cemente and stain was spashed on my new fence and decorative stones were ruined. I paid $ 5,821.98 including the extra materials he damaged, and he refused to give me the receips. I felt pressured and intimidated throughout. My backyard now needs a full redo. This was not professional work. I'm persuing legal action and want others to be warned. He completely miss represented his abilities and should not be doing masony work.
