My wife and I hired D Jennings Contracting Inc. to complete a renovation project for us. Demar and the team were able to take the remaining unfinished portion of our basement and created 3 amazing individual areas for us; a beautiful 3-piece bathroom, a wonderful laundry room and an extra room which we can use as a formal office. We are so very grateful to the entire D Jennings team. Special thanks go out to Demar, Ricardo, Kimar, Ziggy, Kevin and Justin for their hard work. It was truly a pleasure working with all of them on this project. We are very happy with the results. Our friends know how pleased we are with the work done on our house, and are now working with the D Jennings Contracting Inc. team to have a large 2-bedroom legal basement apartment created at their house. I know they will also be very pleased with their results. I strongly recommend you connect with this team if you are considering any renos - big or small. They will do an incredible job!

It took a while to have the contractor show up to complete a two car garage and one half of my roof. They had to return several times over a longer period as it became clear this was a side gig. They used my waste bin to finish though the estimate included disposal, and complained to me about not making money against the Meinhaus estimate. The roof leaked over the winter, and nobody ever arrived despite several calls to Meinhaus. Only excuses. Gave up and hired someone else to complete repairs. It ended up being a separate issue, but one that should have been flagged by the installers at the time. One star since the job was initially completed before winter and looked ok, and the materials used were fine. I wouldn’t use Meinhaus again and am generally unhappy with the changes to the home stars platform as it used to be easier to proactively reach out to highly rated vendors and that doesn’t seem to be possible and it is too complex to even locate highly rated providers in my area.

Sal and his team are wonderfully skilled with a high attention to detail. Just as important, they are good people. One too many times, you get contractors that you wished you hadn't welcomed into your home. Definitely not the case with Sal's Renovations. From initial estimate, to job completion, they are consummate professionals. Friendly, courteous, and thoughtful. They went above and beyond in the care with which they considered materials for our job, ensuring we had a proper estimate with appropriate attention to details, and in how they handled themselves on a day to day basis in our home. Even though this job in particular was a smaller project, Sal and Arie still dedicated themselves wholeheartedly, working diligently throughout. They are the type of guys that bring your bins back to your garage, just because they happen to be there anyway, or who step in to help with a nail gun when your son inadvertently rips something off the wall unrelated to the project at hand. Professional, thoughtful and skilled. I'm really happy I've discovered Sal's Renovations because next time I won't need to go through the process of searching for a general contractor when I can just pick up the phone and call them. They did a decent job of stamped and aggregate concrete for my lawn and backyard. But disappointed with their after work customer service and response. Few cracks showed up, but did nothing about it. Few spots with broken coating, but did nothing about it. When they layer gravel on the sides of the concrete, did not do a proper layering of the black material before putting the gravel, within a year grass started to grow. Wanted to get a proper drain because backyard neighbour raised issue, but did nothing about it. Basically they dont respond to you once they are completed, paid off and gone. Disappointing that even if its a big work and you had treated them cordially, upon fall up later they ignore you blatantly.

Arshad is a man true to his word. He did his best to have the best outcome. His employee was not very good at the perfect finish that we required. The job was priced fairly and the outcome was fairly good but not perfect. Arshad took his time to choose the perfect items we required and the only problem was with the finishing touches. Initially I gave a great review as counter is beautiful and job was well priced and on time. However, that was before I moved in to property and started using countertop. It has not been sealed properly/enough. The counter is only two months old and there are stains. I don’t leave things on the counter for longer than a few minutes and always wipe down. I’ve messaged Josh several times about getting it resealed. First he just suggested cleaning products. Which I’ve used and doesn’t solve the issue. I shouldn’t live in fear of anything being on the counter. Others who have the same counter advise they don’t have this issue and it’s a sealing issue (including another contractor told me that). I’ve messaged Josh again and he’s not responding.
