tl;dr I had a fantastic experience with KitchenInstallation.ca Our basement flooded in July and our tiny laundry room was the last to be restored. Given the small job, I could have built the Ikea cabinets and install them myself, but I just didnt have the motivation to finish the laundry room. KitchenInstallation.ca was recommended by someone in our community Facebook group. I reached out to KitchenInstallation.ca for a quote. Alex, the owner, asked a lot of questions about the laundry room layout and our design goals and then gave us a detailed quote to complete the work. As an aside, I have a job where it is difficult for me to answer my personal phone during work hours so Alex communicated through text to keep the project moving. He arranged for two workers to complete our laundry room; one to build the cabinets, the other to install them. They were on-time and very nice to deal with. Because it was a laundry room, I was a bit indifferent about some aspects of the installation, including the filler pieces between the cabinets and the wall; but the installers were not. The filler pieces were cut perfectly and match our wavy walls with no gaps (its an old house). If you have ever built Ikea cabinets, you know how finicky their adjustable concealed cabinet hinges can be. All cabinet doors are perfectly aligned. The installers even bundled up all the cardboard for recycling. Alex sourced an ideal sink and even found a off-cut for the countertop to save some money. The invoice matched the quote with no surprises. We are very happy with our completed laundry room. It was a fantastic experience dealing with Alex and his crew.

I hired northlink for a kitchen demo initially, but ended up adding floor removal, dishwasher and kitchen exhaust fan hookups (there weren’t any previously). They were easy to work with. Very responsive. Happy with how it’s going so far!

After hearing a lot of horror stories about contractors who take advantage of their clients, we were skeptical about hiring any contractor to get our kitchen renovated. My brother-in-law suggested we give Josh from Level Custom Build a call, as he knew them well. It turned out to be the best decision we made. We werent sure about what we wanted; we only knew we wanted a modern functional kitchen. On our first visit with Josh, he took the time to explain all the details to us. He set our expectations for what they were able to do and what was possible. He addressed all our questions and concerns. Here is a team that is extremely skilled, very punctual, clean, pays attention to details, very patient to our numerous changes, provides excellent quality of work, respects our home and took measures to make sure not to damage anything. They take pride in what they do and not just treat you like a number. I was extremely impressed with the app they provided us. This app provides information on dates, what is scheduled when, costs, due dates and pictures everyday of what was completed. Now that to me is truly impressive as it shows how organized and committed, they are towards their clients. We love what they have done with our Kitchen and dining room. Thank you, Al, Josh, Kevin, Jamal and the rest of the team. You guys gave us our Dream Kitchen. Wall or floor tiling- 14 Dec 2025
Removed tiles from my entrance hallway and bathroom and installed new tiling that I had purchased. Jason is a very pleasant man, easy to talk to and deal with. Takes the time to explain what he is doing and how the work is progressing. He is a 1 person operation, very hard working, and able to handle a variety of jobs needed to complete the installation. He promptly removed all debris and cleaned up after. My new tile floor is complete and looks great. The biggest recommendation I can give is that I plan to use Jason again next year for my next project and have already recommended him to other family members for when they might need some work done.

I posted a job on here in October 2023 to have the 2 small walls in my sun room (11 feet each in length) renovated - remove the old screen walls and replace them with framed drywall walls and a door to the outside. The door was to be an inexpensive 32 door with a window. Despite Rez having measured everything he did not realize he could not install an outward swinging door because it would hit the roof of my gazebo on my deck. It was his helper that noticed this during framing and offered the suggestion of sliding patio doors. Rez asked for an additional $500 for this change. I paid him immediately - the same day. It took months for the patio doors to be delivered and he promised they would be installed while I was on holiday from Jan 23 to 30, 2024. I came home and they were not installed. 2 weeks later he came and installed them. They are not level and do not latch or lock. Ive contacted him repeatedly to return and fix them and complete the job. There is still more drywalling to do, windows and doors to be trimmed and interior walls to be painted. He says he doesnt do exterior work in the winter - but he took 90% of the cost of the job before Christmas 2023! There is also exterior siding to be done and this also remains incomplete. This has been an awful experience and extremely stressful. This project started in November 2023 and is still not done.

They did a decent job of stamped and aggregate concrete for my lawn and backyard. But disappointed with their after work customer service and response. Few cracks showed up, but did nothing about it. Few spots with broken coating, but did nothing about it. When they layer gravel on the sides of the concrete, did not do a proper layering of the black material before putting the gravel, within a year grass started to grow. Wanted to get a proper drain because backyard neighbour raised issue, but did nothing about it. Basically they dont respond to you once they are completed, paid off and gone. Disappointing that even if its a big work and you had treated them cordially, upon fall up later they ignore you blatantly.
