We are incredibly impressed with the project of our basement planned by Nick and executed mainly by Jay and his crew. Nick,a friendly very experienced guy was helpful in providing info before hand and took care of all details. He was working on a tight timeline due to my request for it being done by a certain date. The crew arrived, worked extremely quickly and efficiently and had the job done in 4 days. 2 days ahead of what we thought it would be completed. A wall was removed another wall added. All patching painting vinal flooring through out including stairs. Lighting and several small touches brought this project to fruition. We highly recommend Nick of STclair Design Concepts and hope to have more small projects completed. Also, the costs were reasonable and we had been given much higher quotes by other contractors.

When dealing with contractors, how often do you hear that they came in on time and on budget and did exactly what they promised. That was our experience with Paul and Jordan, two guys that honestly cared for our project as if it was their own home. They were here everyday, some days putting in pretty long hours. They were pleasant to deal with and addressed any concerns we had. The materials they used were high quality. Were still in awe with the final product. I met Omer of Green Star Contracting for the first time a week ago. I picked him out of 6 other contractors to put a door at the end of the hallway on the main floor for privacy between me and my tenant. I told him it MUST look professional. He gave me the best quote out of all the contractors and he promised me the price won’t change. What I liked about Omer immediately, and the reason he stood out from the others I spoke to, was that he actually listened, and made sure he understood exactly what we wanted done and what was important to us. I give Omer 10/10 for workmanship, professionalism, friendliness, for staying on budget and for getting the job done on time! I couldn’t be happier with his work and I will definitely use his services for any future projects that may come up. I have already recommended Omer to my neighbour. Thank you Omer!

Normally I hire people with 50 or more ratings. But I wanted to give this contractor a chance as a local guy. Unfortunately, there were some challenges with the work. I told him up front i had a price quote for $150 from another contractor who also had a reputation on Homestars and 50 positive ratings. He said he would diagnose and troubleshoot and then tell me the price. Unfortunately, though he found the wiring problem after an hour, the gas fire place was damaged in the process. 2. I still did not hold it against him at the time and still paid him $200 and asked for a receipt and some price quotes in writing for further work . He claimed he did not have a receipt book and did not accept credit card. I was willing to give him another chance . Mistakes happen in life. But he never sent the receipt or written price quotes despite promising to send it the next day and after several more requests on my part. I found he was a bit argumentative and not always following my instructions.
