Edward was extremely responsive and friendly. He arrived within the window he said he would, explained the issue and fixed it on the spot. All in all, took perhaps 20 mins and I had my oven back! I highly recommend Duke Removal Solutions. Reached out to them as a referral from friend to handle the removal of an upright piano from my aunt's 14th floor condo unit. My communication with Kosta (the owner) was effortless and his response was timely. I asked Kosta to take good care of my aunt and his response was "Always do!" Hired them to create a basement entrance - overall frustrating experience with their communications and delayed responses, and sloppy work. Took months to get started, ended up spilling the project to the following year. Worse, the existing porch stairs obviously had to go but they missed this in the initial scope so we ended up having an additional SOW. Then we kept seeing the rusts all over around the metal posts and on top of the painted stairs; they came back and did a touch-up - rusts came back again, and after multiple emails we gave up. Unfortunately buying at DOr is the worst decision Ive ever made. We were looking for a peaceful retirement condo close to our daughter and instead got stuck with a nightmare of poor quality construction and unending haphazard repairs by unsupervised trade workers mismanaged by customer care personnel who are unsuited for their jobs. The result is a year and a half of wasted time with no end in sight, construction dirt and dust that is a health risk and anxiety and stress instead of enjoyment. We started with PDI of 130+ items and ended up with the current list of 66+ items. We finally have Tarion conciliation scheduled for May 21 2024. The most recent example is the email trail of me asking VP of Customer Services to send back the cleaners to complete the job after ceiling repair. This email led to a heated conversation with ceiling repair team who showed up instead of the cleaners and accused my husband of being entitled, causing problems to a lot of people and telling him that he should of moved the furniture himself. Fernbrook construction is poor, customer service team is useless and will try to intimidate you. Tarion is of little help, their process is very slow and the tolerance level allows so many defects that nothing gets fixed. DO NOT buy from Fernbrook!

I highly recommend Handyman Kwik Solutions (Sam and his team) after they just finished three separate jobs: 1) for a backyard studio-shed I had built several years ago, fixing some poor framing from the previous contractor, insulating, and drywalling; 2) working with an electrician to excavate a trench (including through concrete) from house to shed for an 100 amp electrical pipe; and 3) adding flashing on all sides of the studio-shed. All work was done to a very high, fully professional standard. Everything was done as discussed -- with added touches that Sam's conscientious professionalism told him needed to be done for him to feel satisfied with the work (notably partially rebuilding one storage loft area and the very finicky, expert drywalling of it and another storage loft). As a bonus, the time between quoting and doing the work was very quick -- Sam fit our fairly small job (about a week of work) before another major job was due to start.
