The firm of plumbers that repiped our house also ripped more than 40 ugly, large holes in the drywall over several rooms. The place was a depressing eyesore, as if a bomb had hit. We wanted to find someone who could make the holes vanish again, as quickly as possible. We called Dan, who came over to see the work, gave a prompt quotation (one of three we obtained), and answered our questions in detail. We were looking for someone who would be dedicated to the job to its end, and could make decisions for himself, rather than a firm that would move a crew of no-name different workers in and out of our house to suit their other ongoing jobs. We had to live in the house while the work was going on, so we did not want an invasion by people who would not take care of our home or disappear before cleaning up (issues we had seen with the plumbers). Dan made very quick progress in filling the drywall holes, either with the sections that had been cut out (where suitable) or with pieces he had cut from a new sheet. After that he worked steadily at the mudding, sanding and painting. He tidied up as he went (including some of the rubble left the plumbers), and if he wanted to keep a tarp in place for an extended period, asked us about it. At the end of the process, it was difficult to believe that there had been any holes at all. He also dealt with several little problems that the plumbers, in their haste to leave, had left behind them. I was very, very pleased with the outcome. It's simply impossible to see where the holes used to be, even those that had been in hard to reach places. Whether you feel satisfied with a tradesman's work is not just a matter of the cost and the final product, but also depends on the experience of dealing with him. Dan is a master of drywalling and painting. He is a good communicator who works to a standard, and understands that he is working in someone's home.

Stone is the foundation of my home house, the fences on our farm and the beauty of our land. My first cut at masonry I was about 7. There I was standing alongside my father building a stone wall. Now, one would think this was a fond moment, father teaching his son "the trade". Let me tell you, if I hadn't broken the kitchen window hurling a sliotar through it, I might not be the Mason I am today.

We recently used Master Homes Contracting to renovate two bathrooms. Anton came to the house to discuss the project and offer some advice as to the design aspect of what we were doing. We found him very knowledgeable, he made recommendations as to the layout and gave us a clear idea of what the project would look like when completed. We received a detailed quotation within a few days, numerous options with pricing. With some conversation we were comfortable with the quotation and agreed to move ahead. We were then introduced to Ashley who would be our design contact throughout the project. We had done the usual visits to the home stores and to be honest were a little overwhelmed, we really needed some direction and advice. Ashley made it so easy, she supplied numerous choices, with pricing, for each of the components from tile to taps, and really helped us with every selection, for us, that expertise saved weeks of wandering the aisles trying to figure out what we wanted. Once decided, Ashley ordered everything for us and had it delivered to our house. The crew showed up to start the demo on the agreed date, immediately covered my hardwood hall and stairs to avoid any damage as they removed the debris, they were careful to try to limit the dust as much as possible but by nature its a dusty job. Execution was flawless, we did have to make some decisions as to the waterproofing behind the new shower, Anton gave us three options with and actually recommended the LEAST expensive one for what we needed. We had a vacation planned that happened to fall in the middle of the project. We were so comfortable with Anton and his crew, we gave him a key, they continued working while we were away. The project was completed just as we got back, we were so pleased with the results. Both bathrooms look amazing, certainly exceeding our expectations, they even added undercabinet LED accent lighting, not included in the original quote but they thought we would like it. They were right, it added a whole spa like look to the bathroom. The project was completed a few weeks ago but I held off on my review as I knew there would be some minor call backs, there always are with any reno. The true test of a contractor is how well they handle the call backs. A flickering pot light, a sticky drawer on the vanity, they were there next day, resolved without question, we were very impressed. We did add some extras to the project as it progressed but overall they were on budget per their original quote. As a contractor Master Homes ticked all the boxes. On time, on quote, knew what they were doing, all the assistance we needed, daily updates on the project, immediate attention to the callbacks, and probably the most important factor, Trust. We will use them again for our next project without any hesitation, there are so many horror stories out there it was a pleasure and a relief to find a good honest contractor that goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with the results. Dwayne was amazing. Not only was he knowledgeable he really took the time to help my husband and I feel less anxious dealing with our issue. One of the reasons we bought a new home was to not have to worry about repairs. He gave us reassurance that although these things can happen they can also be fixed without the need for any further worry. Leader Property Maintenance did a great job clearing the moss from my concrete tile roof. The roof hadn’t been cleaned properly for years, so there was significant moss growth. They handled it thoroughly and professionally, and the results were very noticeable. They also provided clear before-and-after photos and videos, which I really appreciated. Communication was excellent, they showed up as scheduled, and the work was completed efficiently. Highly recommended.

Structural work for construction- 19 Feb 2026
Wesley did a phenomenal job on our entryway closet. He needed to remove an old partition wall and frame in a new sliding door. He did a very clean cut on the existing plank flooring and helped find a similar flooring for inside the closet. He also did some electrical work to relocate a light switch and outlet. The trim work he did around the door, as well as his paint job on everything, made it look like it’s always been part of the condo. He was very responsive and professional and kept his work area very tidy. I’d recommend him to anyone for similar work.
