Is it possible to add another bathroom with toilet in half of my basement? Other half is already occupied with one bathroom and room.
Are you a pro and able to answer this question?

Yes it is. You would have to connect to your existing drain by opening up the floor. Then bring in your water lines through the wall or ceiling.

Yes, it’s possible. This type of work requires plumbing modifications beneath the concrete slab, which means a permit must be obtained. Plumbing work is regulated by the Building Code to ensure safety and to prevent damage that can result from non-compliant changes.

Yes,it’s possible. Typically, we connect the new bathroom to your existing sanitary drain by opening the slab and trenching to the main line to keep proper slope, then bring new water lines through the wall or ceiling. Because this involves plumbing beneath the concrete, a plumbing/building permit is required and all work must meet the Ontario Building Code; we’ll make sure every drain, vent, and water connection is correct. As long as we have access to the water and drain locations and you’re okay with some concrete cutting/trenching adding a bathroom in the other half of the basement can be done.

Yes, it’s possible to add another bathroom in half of your basement, but it depends on:
Drain access: You’ll need to connect new plumbing to the main drain; if it’s below the floor, concrete may need cutting.
Venting: Each fixture must be properly vented.
Ceiling height: Must meet code (around 7 feet).
Electrical and fan: GFCI outlet and exterior vent required.
Permit: A building permit is required in Ontario.
Costs typically range from $6,000 to $18,000, depending on layout and plumbing complexity.

Sure thing!
This involves opening up a section of the floor and connecting to the existing plumbing below grade. The plumbing can then be roughed in and inspected. Once inspected, concrete can be filled in and walls roughed in aswell as connection of vents to existing vent stack. Always hire a licensed and insured Plumber like myself to do the work. 905 802 3279

Yes, it’s definitely possible to add another bathroom in the unused half of your basement. In most cases, the main things to confirm are:
the location of your existing plumbing lines
whether a new drain connection or pump is needed
if any walls need reinforcement or framing changes
proper ventilation and layout for code compliance
This type of project usually requires a simple construction/permit plan and sometimes minor structural review, depending on where the bathroom will be placed.
If you’d like, we can take a quick look at your layout and let you know exactly what’s needed.
