The experience we had was absolutely terrible! We DO NOT recommend this company. We've spent over $50,000 and still have an incomplete kitchen. We told Dan at Caledon Renovations, from the very beginning, that we needed the renovation completed as quickly as possible to sell and relocate for work. Dan told us that he could complete the work in 4 weeks. On June 3rd, 2024, demolition began on our whole main floor. Once demolition was complete, no one showed up for 2 weeks. We were constantly told there were issues sourcing product, finally, when he showed up with the floor tile, it was not what we had picked but decided to continue anyway to speed up the renovation. It is now August 7th and it still not done. There were several quality issues that were addressed several times and Dan offered to come back to fix these issues for a 3rd time - we declined. The final straw was when we had a subcontractor show up at our house demanding money or he would place a lean on our house. After speaking to this gentleman, we found out that Dan had not paid him and said it was because we owed money - we were paid up to date. When we told Dan we do not want to work with him because of the trouble he has caused, he offered a refund of $1200 for upper kitchen cabinet doors. Even though we were not satisfied with the refund amount, we agreed. We told him to pick up his sign from our home and give us the refund. That was 6 days ago and we've heard nothing from him. George and his crew did an amazing job of getting out the old glass without damaging the original frame. We were looking to install sliding door for upgrading a den to an office room and called at least 5-6 other suppliers. Some did not call back, some gave a quote over the phone or ballpark without knowing much if anything about what we had and more importantly how we could upgrade and what options are available. We did get a call back from Lana from NIKADA Home solutions and after a comprehensive conversation , we already had some answers based on what we thought we wanted to do. Lana was extremely knowledgeable, very helpful and patient with us while we were learning to navigate buying a sliding door. So many options, styles and colours etc. I'm sure we spent more time that others and she was there to answer any and all questions. We felt very comfortable with Lana and her suggestions. The sliding door was delivered and installed just after a week! by Alex who I must say did a fantastic job!! Very professional, courteous and cleaned up before he left. I would highly recommend Lana and Alex, for us we could not have asked for anything more!! The sliding door looks fantastic!!Now the value of our apartment is more than 20k! The design they assisted to come up with is perfect for our needsmodern, functional, and seamlessly blending with the rest of our home. In terms of timeliness, the project was completed on schedule, which I think is above average these days!
