We recently moved into a new house thats had some shoddy DIY work done. We noticed a very hot extension cord going behind our drywall and were concerned about it so put up a request on this site for an expert opinion. Abid from Draco called within an hour and came over a few hours later. Figured out the issue in 10 minutes, helped clean everything up, was super friendly, professional, and made me laugh. Highly recommend!

I used Homestars for a small basement bathroom renovation. Mason responded first and stopped by that afternoon to assess the work. He provided a couple of suggestions to save money on the project (which I appreciated and we used). I chose him over 2 other options due to his suggestions, cost and personality. He and his team were great. They worked for 11 days straight to complete the job, with Mason on-site for parts of every day. He discovered a couple of structural surprises along the way, but quickly devised and executed solutions. While working, we asked his team to also re-tile part of our laundry room, fix a broken door, and fill a large ceiling opening. He and his team did a great job with all of them, and at very fair prices IMO. He was professional, trustworthy, friendly and very competent. He will be my first call for future projects, and I have already recommended his services to two of my friends.

I hired Greg a couple of years ago for some small jobs around the condo and contacted him again for a couple of new ones - he is always on time, efficient and charges fairly for work. This time he fixed our shower nozzle, repaired a couple of doors and gave me a quick quote on our other bathroom in terms of renovation. He also cleans up after his work so there's no mess. I will hire him again next year when we decide about the bathroom reno.

Serge was on time, extremely professional and communicative. We had the siding replaced on our home with vinyl shakes as well as eaves replaced. Now three months later and we are still extremely happy with his work and attention to detail. He was very communicative and prepared. He cleaned up from the job each day, leaving the site immaculate. He also did some extra bits of work for free for us. He noticed a raccoon had ripped off some shingles in a corner, which he told us about and repaired at no extra cost. I fully recommend Serge for exterior home work.

The windows for my house were due for replacement. I did a considerable amount of research, determined what I wanted and narrowed my options to 3 manufacturers. I'm normally a DIY guy but realized that these windows are not sold to the public. I did my due diligence and got quotes from several contractors. I came across GTA Direct Windows & Doors. They provided a very competitive quote, but what really sold me was they were very candid, knowledgeable, and didn't try to upsell. I asked about my wired security system and they said it would be preserved - I would only need to put the contacts on the new windows. Other contractors told me the system would be trashed by the install. GTA Direct told me installation would take 1.5 days. I was very skeptical and a bit anxious about anyone installing 21 windows in that short amount of time. However, they completed the job at noon on the second day, took away all the scrap and left my home very clean. I was extremely pleased with the quality of the install. Alex is extremely easy to work with. He kept me updated on schedules, and was easily reachable when I had questions. He even contacted me after completion to ensure I was satisfied. It may not be a big deal, but customer service is high on my list of attributes I consider when hiring contractors. I would highly recommend GTA Direct.
