Price: $70,000

This Ontario homeowner elected to go with a fibreglass pool as opposed to a traditional vinyl liner pool, even though fibreglass is more pricey.

A lovely 14’X34′ lap pool built was constructed for this Ontario homeowner.

Sometimes a renovation is preferred over installing a brand new pool. In this case, the homeowner elected to renovate the existing 30-year old structure to create a salt-water pool. The scope of work included a new concrete bottom, all new liner, pumps, heaters, hose, lights, salt generator and safety cover.

The owners of this ranch bungalow built in 1954 wanted to keep and repair the original pool which was also constructed in the 1950’s. Doing so meant dealing with the very old concrete deck as well as the retaining walls consisting of 60 year old railway ties. The pool deck was cracked and in dire need of repair, and the entire decking system needed replacement.
