I am forever grateful that Sam from Amista Homes reached out when I initially submitted a service request at Homestar. Four years ago, I bought a bungalow with plans to convert it into a two-story home, moving my parents to the main floor and my kids and myself to the second. After struggling with my previous contractor for three years and getting nowhere, Sam stepped in last September, and now my home is 90% complete! Ive officially moved into the second floor, and the entire process has been smooth, fast, and truly amazing thanks to Sam and his team. Together, we handled everything from designing and permits to Committee of Adjustment approval, framing, stone and stucco, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, and tiling. The result is a 3,300 sq ft duplex, where the main floor features a large open-concept kitchen, living room, and dining area with two bedrooms and a fully accessible bathroom with a powder room customized for my parents. The second floor is designed for my family with an open-concept kitchen, living room, and three bedrooms plus a den with three full bathrooms. The two master bedrooms have walk-in closets and ensuite bathrooms. I ended up getting everything I wanted and more. While the neighbors were initially unhappy, Sam handled everything professionally and made sure they understood the situation. The timing of the work was perfect for each team, and Sam remained very involved every step of the way. He worked closely with me while ensuring we stayed within a very tight budget. Were nearing the finish line of the original plan, and I couldnt be happier. I now have my dream home within budget. Thank you, Sam youve truly been a lifesaver!
